Opera phone doesn't convert? (7)

After testing 10+ landing pages and 20+banners and cutting many bad placements, my campaigns almost become green. When I'm going to cut some phone models I found opera phone has the worst CR. I don't know why because I haven't used opera phone.
So anyone has similar experience?
Another question is : does OS version matter? I found android 2.0 has the worst CR
I think my conclusion is right because I have spend 700$ on this campaign. But I don't know the exact reason.

I think you mean the opera mini browser. It's well known that it converts bad. I exclude opera mini by default.
OS version does matter. For example, Android 2.0 might very well not be capable to handle certain elements of your landing page or the offer's landing page. It might also be that the OS isn't compatible with whatever you are promoting.

Opera indeed has a bad CR but when you count the fact that there are much much more iOS users and Android, that can help understanding the why. I would target Opera users only on specific campaign that target Opera users.
regarding the Android versions always check with your AM if he can share statistics on the campaign like Top Geo, Top devices (iOS/Android) and if he can share the version that can also help.
some campaigns may restrict certain O.S version so you might found that older versions of Android for example just not converting, that doesn't necessarily means that the users aren't converting it might be that they are not tracked.
before starting a new campaign ALWAYS try to get as much info and statistics from the network, that will mostly help you save a lot of optimization time and yeah also Money!!

From what I know, Opera is not forwarding the MSISDN and has some other shitty things that makes it not easy for us. I think even the IP is not in the header directly and some programs can not detect it at all. In Adult I know only 2 companies that can do it at the moment with some tricks. Send me a message if you wanna know who ;-)

strange enough sometimes opera mini seems to convert alot better. could it be a lander issue? where its not optimized for a certain browser?
