Hey everyone,
I'm just in the process of signing up for Mobvista and (before being approved and given passwords, login, etc) have been asked for a pic of my photo ID (drivers licence or passport) and my banking details (for wire transfer), which just doesn't feel right to me for some reason considering none of the other networks im on asked for all this upfront, and it doesn't help that this is a new network based in China. It just feels like the beginning of some sort of scam. Am i getting paranoid here or does all this sound a bit out of place?
Has anyone else gone through Mobvista's application process and did you have to do this?
I didn't have to submit my ID as far as I remember, but they're definitely legit.
This is becoming common practice.
Yes they are legit (they pay) but no I also did not have to do that.
Can confirm they are legit, been working for quite some time with them and always got paid in time.
Legit Network.
Like cmdeal said.. this is becoming common practice.
Unfortunately there are a lot of fraudulent people in this business, and this is just one of the measures the networks take to keep them, and their partners, safe from any harm.
They are not really new, they are legit and Photo ID is becoming something quite a few networks require.
If you expect to have a serious business relationship with another company where you register online to start this relationship, you shouldn't be concerned at being asked for photo ID and potentially even certificates of business incorporation if you intend to operate under your business name.
This is normal in a lot of situations outside the affiliate industry where large money transfers are involved, so this is a natural part of the industry maturing and legitimising practices.
TL;DR: Get used to it.
Cool, thanks everyone. My biggest concern was that no other networks had asked for this yet they had, thanks for clarifying!
