Hey everyone I went to my bank a few days wanting to open up a business account with them but the lady there told me that she doesn't think I can open up a business account with them until I turn 18 and she said she had to call her manager and ask her then she would call me even though I have a llc registered already and an EIN number and plenty of cash to put in it (im 17 atm back, and as usual I haven't gotten a call back yet. And I was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about the age you need to be to open up a business bank account, thanks
I believe you have to 18, at least in the United States. However theres gotta be a way to get this done, all these teenage millionaires have to stash their money somewhere. Maybe involving the parentals?
yea I asked the lady there if I could have my moms name on the account until i turn 18 and she said that she cant because my name is on the llc, ill have to call the manager tomorrow and talk to him/her to get a definate answer though
Make your mum managing partner? There will be a way. A bank wont turn away someone trying to make a bank account for their legitimate business ventures, that would be losing a customer.
Hey Matt,
The only way you'll be able to do it is have your mom or dad on the llc. Only way I was able to make a business bank account.
ah ok thanks dan, how would I go by officially getting my mom or dad put on the llc?
add them on your articles of incorporation make one of them a cfo or something.
