Hey folks,
I am at a crossroad and is looking for suggestions based on your experience.
By now I know that offers going up and down is just part of AM. But lately this has been bothering me.
I switched to 1-clicks from App Installs because App Installs had issues like lead quality. As soon as the offer took off, the advertiser would want to pause the offer for a few days so that he could asses lead quality and what not. 1-clicks didn't have lead quality issues. But offers went down because of carrier complaints. Probably the tits on my landers distracted the users from the fine print and later when they were done getting off, went crying to customer support. I had a day where 7 of my offers went down within a matter of few hours and it was more than I could handle. I bounced back, but later realized that this is going to be the story forever.
I am thinking Pin Submits outside of 1-clicks where the user either receives a text message or has to send a text message. It should be harder to convert, but they sound like a sweet spot between App installs and 1-clicks. I am wondering if this is true.
Also, sweeps seem to be working so well in mobile, any idea how stable they are?
Thanks in advance guys.
Hi "arunbasillal" looks to me that the "issue" here isn't related to the offers rather than the traffic source, there are many reasons for stopping affiliate from running an offer and one of the main reason is quality.
if you can share what is your traffic source im quite sure the members here will be able to point you to the right vertical/offer that suits the traffic.
pin submits is a stable vertical both on web and mobile but if the traffic quality will remain low or users will do charge backs you could "lose" these offers as well.
so my suggestion is to first understand your users and than promote an offer that match them the best,
the most important thing here is never give up and continue to test and optimize till you get the results you want.
Hey man, thanks for the reply.
I had never thought of that angle yet, that the problem could be my traffic. Given that I was the top performer on the network for these offers that got paused, your point makes more sense. The offers were paused network wide though, not just me.
My major traffic sources were: PopAds and PlugRush followed by ZeroPark. Pop and Redirect traffic on mobile as you see.
Offers verticals (that got consistently withdrawn): Sexy Wallpaper downloads, Antivirus products and Grocery voucher sweeps.
Do you have any suggestions for offer verticals that match these traffic sources?
Thanks again for your advice.
Pin submits/mobile subscription should be a good start, i also recommend you to look at some mobile games that allows Pop traffic as promotion type.
if that will also end with the network closing your offers there are 2 choices as i see it, change traffic source and start working with more networks so you could split test your traffic and see if with another network quality changes.
maybe your traffic quality isn't that high and working with another network that has a lot of traffic going to the offer your traffic quality will be just enough to keep it going.
but the goal should be always to send the best quality as possible to any offer as this will allow you to continue promoting offers for the long term.
I will try those and games.
Thanks for your input mate. Much appreciated. Before this, I used to think that my network / vertical / offer was the problem. Its the first time that I am thinking maybe I am the problem. Which makes perfect sense right now.
