Starting first campaign on mDSP. Should I buy a CDN now?

I'm almost done optimizing my landing page for my mobile campaign,

Scores on GTMetrix and Webpagetest.org looks good but all the loading speeds are still in seconds.

My shared hosting server is in California, and I'm using Voluum.

No profits yet...

Should I get a CDN account at this stage? If so, which ones will you recommend for a newbie?

Nah don't overcomplicate things.

Just use cloudflare if you want to speed up your site. It's free and works better than most cheap cdns. You can even cache the entire page to be served from cloudflare via page rules.

i do all my hosting on amazon S3 and cloud front CDN. really cheap hosting costs and it's pay as you go.
i just followed this guide to get it set up.

takes about 10 min and you're ready to go.

Thanks @thedudeabides!

Manage to get my loading times down to 1.5s average. Seems to work easy at the moment. I have setup to have the .html files cached as well. How can I check if they are indeed cached?

@hlyghst, thanks for the link, but I can't get into console stuff at the moment haha. Just gave up trying to set up my own LEMP stack on DigitalOcean. Took too much time and still doesn't work...

1.5 is decent for mobile, but you should be able to get it under 1s for most simple mobile pages, probably advertorials being the main exception. May just be where your server is located though in relation to the testing site.

I like to use http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ to test, since it also logs previous results so I can test improvements.

You can check the http headers.

is this the most important thing you want to fix? at such speeds if you are doing something like -50% roi or better this could be a big help. but if you are at -80% or worse then you have more important issues to fix rather than the cdn, like your offer, angle and traffic source
