How did you get the ads and LPs translated? That'd definitely be the first thing I'd check.

Is there any particular reason why you are not trying to do something in Portugal or Brazil?

South Korea is a very advanced digital market with like a 99.9% literary rate, so any grammatical errors stick out like a sore thumb. Some of the translations don't quite make sense and sound off. For example, for the second one, the translation does not say move closer ... it says go closer, which is a bit confusing.

I'm targeting Korea, because it was one of the proposed offers from my AM and it's a small market when compared to Brazil. I was told to start in smaller geos. Portugal is small, but the CPM is very high, don't know if it's the best place to start, but please correct me if any of this is wrong.

About the translation there isn't much I can do, I hired a translator, so I was trusting it (also checked on Google translate, they weren't 100% right, but with translate they never are...)

I used http://onehourtranslation.com, it was a local guy, but I'll probably buy a proofreading on Fiverr.

Also (noob me) I forgot to add the postback url -_- So I now have 2 conversions and can't trace them. Anyway, now it's fixed and more will come.

If I were in your shoes, I probably would focus first on Brazil and Portugal so that you start the game with at least some sort of advantage.

I'd tend to agree with cmdeal. Portugal might have higher CPMs, but you'll have a "home field advantage" - use slang and your knowledge of the culture to make your ads stand out.

I've done this too. But in Voluum you can manually upload conversions, so you did not actually lose anything here.
