Adult dating offers newbie have a question (potential ROI) ?
hello everybody I been running Adult DatIng Offers and still new at this of course I'm at negative ROI
just testing and things I see -10% to -30%.
I am also running many or multiple offers testing them
My question is this? What will be consider a negative ROI that have potential to keep going?
I hope this is not a stupid question lol

It's definitely not a stupid question! But it's a difficult one to answer - it will depend on the particular situation.
There are so many variables you can optimize to bring a campaign to profit. How many of those have you been optimizing? If it's currently at -10 to -30%, and there are things you haven't optimized yet, I'd say keep going - you're almost there!
Have you tested completely different lander styles you've seen through spying on the competition? That's where I would start. Once I know which lander style is working best at the moment, I would split-test the headline, image(s), ad text, and CTA. That's at least 4 rounds of lander testing.
It's great you're running multiple offers! Once you have a winner and pause the others, your ROI will go up.
And then there are banners - have you tested a lot of angles? If so you already have a good idea which angle works best. Try testing more headlines and images for that angle to see if you can optimize further.
And once you've paused all offers except one, you can wait a few days and then ask your AM to verify your lead quality. If it's acceptable, that would be a good time to ask for a pay bump! Tell your AM that you've tested a lot of offers and this offer's doing the best for you, so you want to scale, but you need a bump to push into the green, and you'll most probably get that bump.
Once you've identified the best offer and optimized your banners and lander, it will just be a matter of testing different traffic sources and targetting and bids etc. And of course, the more you test creatives before scaling, the higher and more stable your ROI can be when you scale.
I know I'm being really general here - so if you're looking for a more specific answer, please provide more details.

Do you suggest cpc or cpm? When paying for traffic?

Every traffic source is different and the only way to find out which bidding mode is better would be to test. My personal preference was CPM just because almost all traffic sources let you bid by CPM and I just got used to it. Any pros care to chime in about that?

As Amy said I am too a strong believer in testing and testing even more.
but i would start with CPM and once I get good results (after optimization of the campaign) i will start a CPC campaign and analyse the results and see what gets me more traffic with less spend.
after optimizing the CPC campaign and i see positive ROI I would test some campaign that are performance based.
I have found that in most cased performance campaigns got me the most profit when comparing them to CPM/CPC campaign. but it always require a lot of testing different angles and optimization of the campaigns.
