What the Pro and Cons using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Muse for creating Landing Page?
Hi Guys,
is there any big difference in creating landing page with photoshop and adobe muse ? what the pro and cons? which apps are u prefer ? because I Find it easier using Photoshop than Muse because in Muse we should know CSS.

Photoshop is an image creation/manipulation program. I wouldn't use it for making landers unless your landers are just a jpeg or png. Much better to compare Muse to Dreamweaver. I don't like Muse as you cannot easily add in javascript jquery etc. You have far more control of every element in Dreamweaver. So my workflow would be Photoshop then Dreamweaver.

I can't understand how is it possible to use tools like Muse or Dreamweaver cause code that they produce is awful.
I'm not sure are we speaking about web or mobile, but in mobile it's very important to have 100% optimized lander.
So for me only tool is Brackets (Notepad++, Sublime etc). Html+css is so easy, it's all about 3-5 days to learn basics. Or just outsource.
I prefer coding landers myself because as MtHardwork said, the code they produce is a mess and almost impossible to edit.
Wouldn't recommend doing static image landers on Photoshop
oh i see, Muse is like dreamweaver than photoshop then ? do you guys prefer dreamweaver then muse ? what the pro and cons ?
I guess it depends how complex you want your lander to be. Back in the 90's (yeah I'm that old) Dreamweaver took over from notepad as it was far quicker to code. There were old school who preferred hand coding because they didn't want to learn a program. However as sites got more and more complex and having to code for several different browsers notepad became too slow to be practical (like how tractors took over from horse drawn ploughs). Back in the day job adverts went from "must be able to hand code" to "must have working knowledge of Dreamweaver or (Shudder) Frontpage.
These days notepad++ is great for simple landers but it you want something complex it is far too time consuming. Personally as long as they work as intended I don't care if the code is a little messy or that is it 20k larger than a fully optimised hand coded piece of art. I have way too much in my day already to go back to hand coding everything.
Muse is more like Wordpress but you can compare it to Dreamweaver as it is used to assemble elements of code into pages. Photoshop is more like Coral Draw or Paint. Basically used to create or adjust images.
Pros and cons depend solely on what you want to use them for.
So what are you guys mostly using for creating landing page ?
is there any way not to code ? i mean it's okay if only CSS.
