Trying to run some campaigns on Leadbolt, they're set a little over min CPM, no crazy targeting, single geo, android. No categories. I'm getting 0 traffic on 2 campaigns and like 150 impressions, 10 clicks on the other two all day. I asked them for some info on what I need to bid because they only provide min bid info. Two are pin subs (Cell / Mobile Offer) and the other two app installs (Download Offer). They told me: my traffic is limited because mobile subscription campaigns perform much better on CPC rather than CPM. Mobile subscriptions on CPM do not produce a significant amount of traffic, therefore CPC is a much better option for you. Recommend using a CPC of $0.05 with open targeting. This will allow you to see which Geos and categories your campaign works best and then you can narrow the targeting accordingly. This change will see your campaign perform much better on our network resulting in a higher impression rate and CTR.
Maybe I'm missing something but if I bid enough in CPM campaign wouldn't I get traffic? Not sure why it would matter CPC or CPM. The only thing CPC would do is make it more expensive traffic. But it sounds like they're saying just changing them to CPC will open the traffic up.
LOL that's such a nonsensical answer.
The performance of the campaign (to you, and to the traffic source (eCPM)) has nothing to do with the bidding mode and everything to do with the ads themselves and the what you're willing to pay.
Sounds more like they have a douchebag filter in place that strangles mobile subscription offers on CPM as they know they will make more money by forcing advertisers to their excessive $0.05 minimum CPC setting.
On a side note, have you tried just bidding a lot higher to see what happens?
I requested the top bid amount so I had an idea of what I needed to bid. I bid over that and traffic didn't come on. Trying more CPC there but it is expensive.
This place is definitely too expensive unless you really want to run some ads nobody wants to even accidentally click.
