Just wanted to post my experience with 50onRed to warn others that have any account balances with them.
I deposited $500 for a quick test campaign, then decided to put it aside for the time being.
After 3 months, they started deducting $50 per month for a ‘Inactivity Fee’, which has now added up to $200. I did not get any email notifications or warnings about this whatsoever.
I also don’t see any mention of an inactivity fee in their TOS or support center. Screenshot of the fees: http://i.imgur.com/VxlLR1D.png
I then created a support ticket inquiring about these fees, but they did not respond and simply closed the ticket after 3 days marking it as 'Resolved'.
Anyway, hope stealing works out well for you guys at 50onRed lol.

Yeah I really don't like these terms. Nor do I understand the theory behind them.
Leadimpact.com are worse, they just took 1k from my account because it was active for a few months.
If it's such a big issue for them, why don't they offer to wire or credit it back, and add a processing fee for the trouble.
That there is some bullshit business logic imho.. @mr green 1k?! WTF..
Inactivity fees and shutting down inactive is ridiculous.
The way I have dealt with this is at other ad networks is to keep one or two campaigns live, with bids so low that you don't receive traffic. An alternative would be to have an active campaign, but pause the creative. (will vary by ad platform)
This way you have an "active" campaign, without spending funds.
Yeah, had the same thing happening to me. Wanted to actually run a quick test on their platform, logged in and found my credit depleted. I get that I don't earn them a ton of money, but this kind of behaviour is shady and a good way to keep customers from coming back.
If it is not in their Terms and Conditions, this definitely is not cool.
Reminds me of the clickbank fees every 2 weeks if you don't make sales lol.
So - instead of thanking people for leaving money in their accounts which allows the network to basically earn free interest on, they punish people for it?
That makes no sense to me, and makes for a very bad rep which will hurt their business in the long run.
Thanks kyuss for alerting everyone to this! Thanks to STM and people like you, only one of us needs to pay one-time for every lesson learned.
Amy
shit.. i just found that i have loss 300 usd due to this stupid inactivity scam as well!
any one has the experience in getting back the money from 50onred?
If not in t&c go to small claims court. I believe company is passed in Philadelphia.
they got me too
why don't we just make more money? Don't sweat the small stuff!
I'm a little surprised by this actually. I tried them for a while and requested a refund and had no issues, I quite like their platform structure but the traffic IMO was terrible. Yes, I've heard about how well some Stackers have done but for me it was a bad experience. I also read somewhere (on here) that someone managed to check their popups and it had other adverts plastered over it, not cool.
When I contacted 50OnRed the person was VERY pushy with me, demanded that I signup NOW using some type of aggressive sales tone almost as if he was showing off in from of the other reps in the office. Perhaps I'm just paranoid though, hey ho. This (Inactivity Fee) sounds like a right scam, there's ways of doing business and then there's taking the piss, frankly, I will now recommend anyone considering them to stay well clear.
Is it really not in their T&C somewhere?
It really would be a huge blunder for a company to charge tens of thousands or dollars to customers by way of fees that they never said they would charge. Might as well file class action papers themselves.
Hi kyuss
Wow i am really surprised, i have always had good experience with 50Onred and never encounter with an "inactivity fee", but on the other hand i wasn't doing anything with them for some time now.
you shouldn't give up just because your support ticket was closed keep pushing this till you get some answers!!
please keep us updated, really interesting to know what will be the result.
These type of 'terms' suck. If it's not in their T&C, let's do a collective claim.
I once lost over $1.5k @Buzzcity, because they felt I met their '180 days of campaign inactivity, so we take all your remaining funds' term. Sjeezz, still pisses me off.
