Hey Stackers, been around fb for 2years now and did well on my own terms(250$-500$day)
As time went by and fb got harder with account bans and creating new accounts got even harder especially in a country where vps costs 200$ (yeah!)
Am now making a decision of going either mobile or adult, my gut feeling wants to go with mobile but my brain says go with adult..
My key issue is being on sort of a budget (5-7k) due to certain issues with my paypals and stuff
)
Would like to hear some decent oppions about your thoughts and what would you advice me!
For me it stands like this : mobile: lots of variables to test compared to other stuff
Higher roi and more $$$ to be made
Adult: if you can be innovative you can still crank it up but without 500$+ a day ad spend it can be hard
General addiction to porn..(we all been there lol)
Thanks in advance !
As you said, getting into adult now isn`t easy and isn`t cheap.
I would say it depends on what you want to promote and think you will be better at, but mobile is growing and growing...
I second affiliaxeoran on both counts: adult is neither easy nor cheap, and mobile is expanding at a tremendous rate. I'm referring to mobile app installs specifically.
And if you're worried about budget, it would definitely make more sense to try mobile first, because the typically low payouts makes it cheaper to optimize compared to adult offers.
Good luck!
Amy
Thanks guys ! Appreciate your inputs!
I was thinking of running 2-5$ payouts (lead gen) on adult..
Point is I think we can make adult to work but not with 500$+ ad spent a day to make 100$...
Again its all about testing and see what works but I am being strategical here..
When it comes to mobile, I know total s***t, tracking/optimalization/lps compatibile with mobile etc so that would be totally new for me
On the other hand, i got started on fb thanks to stm people so I believe i could repeat it with mobile as there is tons of content here
Personally for me it would be mobile.
Mainly because of the nature of it (surely it can't be good for your soul looking at that every day haha).
But also because of the endless possibilities available in mobile. And as you say - a lot of great content here around mobile too.
As Ruby and Amy said, the mobile niche is where things are going and if you are looking to get into a new path, I think (looking a bit further forward) this is where you want to go.
You dont know how to work mobile? I think you are in the right place to learn :-)
My advice: stop fusing verticals, traffic sources and connectivity/device platform.
Mobile just means the traffic is from mobile devices, and that opens up a range of mobile-specific advertising types, pros/cons and several mobile-focused verticals.
There are a lot of traffic sources that offer mobile and desktop user traffic. There are a lot that offer ad types spanning both platform types. There are lots that focus on one, e.g. native mobile ads.
Adult on the other hand is just a vertical. Like sweepstakes, gaming, and fitness. (you could be doing adult on mobile traffic...)
Pick a vertical. Pick a type of advertising or a traffic source. Then go experiment with mobile traffic (we an all agree that mobile user base is expanding).
My $0.02.
