from 0 to 100k+ profits in 4.5months with 6WAMC + STM london (52)
Hi all,
I like to keep a low profile, but since my achievements would not be possible without STM, i thought i would share my story to show people what can still be accomplished in a relatively short period of time with AM.
Essentially, i went from knowing literally nothing about AM, tracking, aff networks, media buying, etc. on january 1st to over 100k in profits by mid may.
I didn't cloak. i was completely compliant at both the traffic source and offer.
I did it with 99% mobile traffic and mostly with a stolen lander (that i modified and tested 100s versions of).
i can assure you (and my partner will confirm) that it was not my superior intelligence that allowed me to stack these monies.
I had no connections. experience, insider knowledge. special skills. basically just some asshole with the goal to make 1k/day as fast as possible. it took about 2 months. consistent 2k/day took another month...
how did i do it?
I started with pay per call on adwords in january, just following the guides on STM. It was ok, got profitable in about a week. but it wasn't consistent and was difficult to scale, because i could only afford shitty long tail keywords.
The action really started when i signed up for Zeno's 6WAMC. That was a great experience, learning from zeno, the structured environment, the community of students. I don't know if it was luck or kismet or whatever, but the first offer that we tried as part of the course, privacy lock, my first mobile offer, would end up bringing me my first 1k day.
with zeno's guidance, i got that offer profitable on the second day of running it. From there is it was just further refining and optimizing. I tested 100s of creatives and many many landers. by the end my CV averaged 16% on mdsp traffic.
Once i saw that it converted, i got as aggressive as i knew how. a few weeks later i was doing 1k/day from that one offer in one geo.
As you can imagine, i was surprised and amazed at the possibility of AM. I reassessed my goals, and raised it to 10k/day. How am i going to achieve this? more offers, more geos, more traffic sources.
I decided to take a chunk of my AM profits and go to STM london to meet zeno in person and thank him for the great course. At this point i had never met another affiliate in real life.
STM London was a real turning point. On the whole people were super friendly and easy to talk with. It was great to get a bigger idea of what is possible in the AM space. There is a hell of a lot more to it than just app installs 
I also met an advertiser there, that would be my ticket to a bit of real coin. And I networked with some traffic sources which would prove beneficial.
I got back from london, ready to rock and roll. Basically, i just took the advertiser i had met, and the traffic source i met and stuck them together with a stolen lander. I made 500 profit that first day of running it.
I smelt money. Since then it has been a full on sprint to scale this advertiser + his competitors to more sources, more geos etc.
this story may sound unbelievable, or a freak stroke of luck. and it may be.
This is a pretty condensed retelling, and the reality certainly had a lot more dead ends and failures.
but i think the foundation holds true. converting offer + converting traffic source=money. everything else is lubrication.
anyone who is determined can find a converting offer and a converting traffic source. it may take some work, some testing. but once you do. scale scale scale scale scale scale.

This is just an awesome story and on so many levels as well: speed to profits, speed to scale, and doing it all 99% mobile and 100% compliant!
It was just a few months ago that hlyghst joined the forum http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...299#post187299 and to go from there (basically a standing completely "newbie" start) to $10K a day is really a great testament to all the hard work that he has put in during a very short period of time.

Respect! That's some super fast success!! It sounds so easy but I bet there were many issues along the way, issues others would have quit on, but you kept going. Also shows the life-changing potential of AM and Zenos 6WAMC!! I regret not having joined it's first run.

Also yeah, it wasn't as easy as it sounds. i lost probably 4k totally failing at FB along the way. in addition to the winning offers, i probably tested 30-50 more that failed.
also had all sorts of technically difficulties due to scaling volume + being a stupid newb. servers going down. domains getting pulled. tracking issues etc. I went from never using a single pop, to delivering over 1 million per day in about a week and half. you can imagine the stress that puts on your infrastructure.
i'm just highlighting where the success came from

not necessarily a strategy i would recommend. But it does force you to focus on the bottom line.

I have a question for you as well. During this period of success over success, did yourself getting "lazy" at any point because you felt comfortable at the profit level you were at at that time? This is something that happens to a lot of people when they get their first big cheques in. Curious to know if you had this hurdle as well and if so, how you managed to get over it.

haha, it's not so titantic yet.....
i didn't modify them too much, for me is was more about the media buying. the sources and optimization. rather than the LP.
