As someone who is new to affiliate marketing is it worth signing up as an affiliate for clickbank. Are the payouts any good! Would direct linking using PPC work to get sales or do you think it's a bad route to go with? Is click-bank a good way of getting started as an affiliate or not?
Clickbank can be great, but I'd avoid it for paid traffic when you're starting out.
The reason's simple: Clickbank offers are almost all either revshare or CPS (Cost Per Sale). That means that either tracking's very difficult or the payout is comparatively high.
In the case of high payouts, that might sound like a good thing, but when you're starting out, it's usually not. See http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...e-Often-Better
CPA payouts are much lower, and hence require much less testing budget to get started. As a result, you're better off signing up for some CPA networks and learning there.
Yup exactly as Big C says if you're just starting with paid traffic, it could be tough on high payouts.
Clickbank can be great for monetising websites and email lists, if you have one in a niche that's hot.
It's a bit of a minefield finding the best performing offers though, but once you do (and start ignoring gravity), you can find the occasional gem.
Well I tried promoting a product called Wood Profits using direct linking. But it go so expensive, that I had to go back to the drawing board. This was a few weeks ago before I joined
I think I'll try to master facebook ads first before I do anything!
Quick question when I do join adsimilis, what's the best option for a beginner as it's asking the following questions regarding payment model. Can you shed some light on this please.
1. CPA
2. CPC
3. Fixed
4. RevShare
