Anyone here is real pro at doing your ads/landing pages - you know you got a whole routine / process down and making a samurai killing?
I picture some of you pros maybe have a drawing board and really plan and draw your ads out before implementing? Storyboarding style with a huge white board or on large paper on an easel. Maybe even have outsource team thinking for you before you take an idea from them and bring to fruition?
I thought of this when showering today and may be a good idea. I find myself creating ads as I think of it and things just gets unorganized and train of thought sometimes changes along the way sometimes for the worst. Well I just started using a mind map today for starters
Anyone doing this or something similar? Want to share your process? Any tools or good suggestions? Thanks!
a pen and paper usually does the trick

I do all my design work in photoshop. Banners, landing pages, whatever. Draw up what you want, if it's a lander slice that bitch up, add a little code and you're done. It's easier working visually for me so that's my solution. If you can't handle the tiny bit of coding required on your own there's always SiteGrinder. I used to use that until I figured out that it was faster and easier to edit the html in notetab.
I don't do any preplanning because it's easier to just keep adding layers in photoshop to test different ideas, and setting the ones I don't like to transparent in the final product.
2 things I like to use that make shit fast....all be it a bit dirty but it gets the job done.....
WYSIWYG Webbuilder you can ripp out some pretty decent sites with it rather quick....you sometimes have to go back and hand code some php shit as its made for novices....but thats easily done.....
ulead gif animator
Ya all you PS ho's out there can shit on that software but for $39 it makes doing banners (and even PPV pops
) about as easy as eating ice cream.....you can rip them out silly fast and batch them out to jpg frame by frame so even if you just want to make a shit ton of image creatives it makes that easy as well the frames + layers ability is what makes it easy.....
Awesome
Let your data design your landers for you. - Mr Green.
There is no point in putting extreme time and effort into your initial lander.
Get two fast and nasty landers up for intial tests and let your data help you tweek from there.
The time you take to decide "this should be here, because I 'assume' it will make users think 'this' " is a complete waste.
You do not know, you should not assume.
Mr green what happens when you assume things?!
You will become the devil.
Assume comes from the book of corny sales training techniques:
Never ASSUME anything or it will make an ASS of U and ME.
