Verticals in India (11)
Hi guys, we're currently expanding in to India at my company and are having a hard time backing out our leads. I'm looking at scrapping what we are doing all together and starting over again with a blank slate.
We do 90% of our media buying on facebook at the moment. We will be diversifying our traffic soon but for now we are looking to get fb working for us first as it's our bread and butter.
I'd just like to know if anyone has done significant volume in India on facebook and what verticals you've found success with. Or even what verticals completely tanked for you. Any insight would be appreciated. You can PM me if you'd rather not share on the forum.

P.S. - We need to stay as whitehat as possible. If it can't survive manual review with no cloaking we can't run it.
There is no shortage of Facebook ads in India, so yes, people are making money from it, especially as traffic can be very cheap.
How many things have you tried?
Without getting specific, we have about 2 dozen very similar properties in 8 countries. It's all pretty whitehat and based around free giveaways, coupons, sweeps, etc. What we have been doing works well for us in every country but India. I feel like my colleagues are thinking too inside the box because what we're doing has always worked for us everywhere else.
I'm looking at India too at the moment, I'm going to go with app-installs.
Have you had any experience with that? Native ads and specially Facebook ads look very good for CPI thanks to their call-to-action buttons.

1. the ad and offer that made us the most money was sex related
2. in singapore, prostitutes clearly reject indians due to their sex fetishes and also inability to pay
3. my friends in the insurance industry shared alot of bad experiences with the clients making sex-oriented requests to sign a contract deal.
so bet on sex? bet on sex and bet on it again
What works very well on our network's traffic in India are the following three verticals:
- iOS and Android apps
- well known e-commerce brands such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, etc
- Games, both on desktop and mobile
I'm going to start an Android apps campaign for India soon, wish me luck!

I also have a question we take new app from India Sride (taxi app) but publisher wants to target only 4 GPS locations (+3km), people of 20-25 age, carrier, time. It looks like an advanced target. How do you thing what can be approximate price with advanced targeting in India. They suggest 20-30 cents. Any suggestions? Thanks
