Browser type: iOS - applewebkit vs iOS - safari

I'm targeting only Apple Safari browsers on popads.net, but my tracker idenitifies 2 type of browsers (Applewebkit and Safari) and one is slightly outperfomring the other.

What are the differences in the 2 browsers and is it possible to drill down further to specifically target one or the other?

I know theres no exact targeting options to do so, but I was hoping it be possible through targeting other available variables.

For example, will one browser type fall under a spcific range of screen resolution? - which i can then target.

Thanks.

i'm not 100% sure but it sounds like one is an app and another is mobile web traffic

The problem is that your tracker and PopAds use different databases to identify browsers. I use Voluum and I've tried to figure out how to target Vouum identified browsers on PopAds and they have different names and never match up. Which is a shame because certain browsers that Voluum tracks do really well, but I can't seem to single them out on PopAds. I would try setting up a lot of small test campaigns, with each targeting a different browser (only 1 browser per campaign) on PopAds. Then see what Voluum tracks them as and hopefully you can find a way to single out your winning browser. I don't think its a mobile web vs app thing becuase PopAds should be all web traffic (I could be wrong, someone correct me if I am).

Targeting a browser through other variables is a great idea too. Might take a lot of testing but thats a creative way to solve your problem. And if you can figure some stuff out it'll an competitive advantage you have for running on PopAds in general, you have 1 more step for optimizing that others don't have. Are you hitting Android or iOS? Idk if this link will be helpful but maybe it'll give you some extra insight into targeting your browser: http://www.useragentstring.com/pages...20Browserlist/ - given to me by Voluum support as their user agent detection.

Good luck.
