Im an Actor - How to best combine it with IM?

Pants down STM - my passion is acting!

For 3 years now im promoting trials and exclusive offers mostly over FB, but the job to sit in the back of a computer all day never satisfied my strength in my personality and weakened me all day and night. I mostly enjoyed the moments on summits or meetings, where emotional resonance can be played well but the routine day for me is boring since its the life alone in the cave (or with the office employees and partners).

After a full week of failed meetings and appoinments, im sitting in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere wondering - what can be the best way to combine my passion with FB marketing (or with IM in general?). Maybe its so simple, maybe i have a blockade in my mind. My idea the last 2 years was to put all extra money into film projects, but i dont see myself as a producer or coordinator. I only like the acting part. ppl like steven spielberg get my highest respect for their visionary work, but i cant really see myself doing the producing and organising.

Following this path i dont give a fuck about money or power - im just thinking how i can monetize my passion the SMART way?

Anyone has an idea? Highly appreciate!

You'll probably find this thread interesting - in it I talk about how using Stanislavskian Method can really help you with AM campaigns.

As for acting - if what you want to do is act, focus on that. The key thing's going to be getting in touch with directors and producers - I'd recommend a lot of networking at film festivals and online film sites, doing a bunch of unpaid gigs (they'll probably largely be shit, but they get you practise and connections), and basically just keeping working.

I'm developing a lot of new film projects myself now (I use AM to partially fund my directing and producing) so feel free to PM me your showreel / IMDB / whatever and I'll have a look! Can't promise anything but always interested to connect with actors I don't know.

Thanks caurmen - interesting you are having a bunch of threads about programming and going to producing / directing - wide bandwidth of qualities i would say.

Your thread i was reading and im telling AMlers for 3 years now there are significant tasks to get from acting to implement them into AM.

Thanks to the advices - going to drop a PM maybe we are neighbours location wise

Sorry to state the obvious here but your an actor, right... so why not OWN videos and work your magic!

IMO, your main one and only focus point should be...

Start a YouTube channel and focus on growing that, trust me, videos are powerful just the same as an advert is on Facebook, however the difference is you don't have to keep dipping your hands into your pockets. Not only are videos going to be good at attracting you attention but it's also good practice for you too. If you have never touched videos before it's not an issue, you can rank them up or grow them naturally. I posted this the other day which might help: Rank Any Video Using The (GSA Search Engine Ranker) Here Is My Advanced Tutorial which might help if you want to rank some videos.

Logic... I assume you have a domain you can redirect the viewers too, IMO, this is good for two things... 1. you will be able to stick some ads up on the domain to make some revenue over time 2. you will get your work in front of viewers and possibly be spotted by someone and gain some auditions. BOOM you just combined both your love of acting and the need to earn some money with IM.

^this
People will buy products based on the person selling them.
Making videos is definately the way forward in this case.

Thanks for the input - i will look into the video section.

@Mr Green i was in acting schools and driven to acting mentors when i lived in germany funnily in the times when IM was not going well (offers gone, facebook acc gone, partners scammed). Right now im in the process of looking for a mentor again and to try some things. Buying a camera and try some things out. I think i will do something in the video ads sphere.

Happy to catch up EpicTrends on your input, do you push anything specific through video?
