FB <--> Paypal Love Fest??

For a FB account opened via paypal that later gets closed...

In your experience, is the CC now "known" by FB? Or can we attempt to re-use with a new account?

Thanks

Only one way to know for certain.. But I know is Zeno's post on the guide, they are really close friends.. My guess is they get that info or at least have some way to recognize another account being created with the same prior paypal account.

you can use a cc mutliple times when you pay with paypal. you just delete the cc from that paypal when banned and add it to the new paypal.

If the account was banned, CC is going to be blacklisted, and any other payment method you had on that account.

So you must create a new CC. I've noticed that a Paypal is a no-no, if you do even moderately shady stuff. For some reason accounts connected to Paypal don't last long at all.
If you will try to add a blacklisted CC to a new account, you will see a message that this payment method was blacklisted or something along these lines (I've tried myself once, lol). After that you still can use a new CC, and it will work. But I suspect that life of those accounts might be shorter

If you were paying from Paypal balance, and there were CC's added to account, those CC's will not be blacklisted (I believe FB can't access that data, if you don't pay through CC's, but only with your balance). I had 2 CC's on Paypal, when it was banned and I've used both of those for new accounts and they worked fine.

At least that's my own experience.

Think of it from Facebook's point of view.

They could charge your card directly and use all manner of anti-fraud services.

If you elect to use PayPal there is now a middle-man that stands between them and your credit card source(s).

Surely an intelligent risk team would rationalise that they need to pay closer attention to those accounts and employ similarly effective anti-fraud measures.

Even if you pay with your PayPal balance... you're still using a PayPal account with user details and potentially connected cards and bank accounts.

I believe they are able to check the cc from the link you take inside of fb.... so, if you actually log into paypal after you add the account and card I believe you can add an already banned fb card as the funding source. If someone can confirm that would be great.

I just figure, its very dangerous to pass back and forth a 16 digit card number online and excluding when you add the paypal account, I doubt paypal is sending anything directly to fb that has your 16 digit card number on it. I could be wrong though.
