INCENTIVE content locking: unethical, dirty, wrong?. How I turn BH niches into WH

I have used content locking for around 5 years now, mostly incentive type methods, sometimes people ask is it unethical but that depends on your angle and approach. If you look around there's networks that won't allow you to offer up something in return that the person wins something for free.

Perhaps they have some incentive offers but not many I doubt, then you have other networks around such as the awesome CPAGrip network or AdworkMedia, you can use the incentive offers for example to offer up free Xbox codes, however, there is a big majority of their affiliates that won't actually hand the codes out, that's where it can get a little BH in most people's eyes and frowned upon.

Well, for anyone thinking about getting into the incentive content locking game take my word for it, you can make a HECK of a lot of money and you can turn what can be misconceived as BH into a (ethical) WH niche anyway, I'll go ahead and explain this in detail on this thread and will help you out.

The Bad

I'll write up an example... take a niche and push it on a bunch of people and then just take their money, don't give them anything of value, heck, you have their money now right so who cares, nope, that's not cool we all know that and deep down the guys doing this know it too but they just want the money. This is bad for both the CPA network involved and the CPA industry as a whole however.

The Good

Here's an example of how I personally turn a BH niche into a WH niche. Ok, so lets for this example use the super old saturated niche (fee Xbox codes), yes, old hat and likely laughed at even by the kids today. You want to be both (network compliant) and (ethical) too, so, below is an example of what I do I'll go ahead and list them for you:

- Buy a domain
- Add WordPress
- Create a separate post on the domain and password protect it

That's it, what? you think I'm crazy well not really just let me explain. You start by offering up the free codes using your preferred traffic source i.e you get the leads, link them to your password protect post, Inside the post you should start by allowing comments, next, on the post create a video or just write something up such as this example below:

Welcome, thanks for taking part in the codes contest. We will update the winner at the end of the month. Just come back on the 1st and check the announced winner, oh, btw, grab this free guide on how to get XYZ (related to the niche).
Here's what we just did:
1. we did not just outright take the guys money.
2. we have given him SOMETHING of value right away, give them a guide, anything.
3. they can come back and see who won the code(s) on the 1st.

The trick here is that you DO actually hand out the code or whatever it is that you are offering, don't just promise someone something and then blank them. Not only will this keep you network compliant, it makes what you do ethical and what ever you use be it a YouTube video, SEO etc... you will not generate negative reactions i.e flags, complaints along the way.

Tips

Finding niches for content locking is not that difficult, there are TONS of resources you can use. Games are the best niches to use with content locking IMO. I ranked up some websites not that long ago and banked over 5-10k per month just by using the above guide I wrote and shared, just make sure to offer something in value to the end user.

Sources for niches are easy to find, let me list some below for you:

https://www.appannie.com/apps/ios/to...?device=iphone

https://app.buzzsumo.com/trending

http://uk.ign.com/games/upcoming

http://www.distimo.com/leaderboards/...all-games/free

I always start using this tool: http://hashtagify.me which will show you the all time Top 10 Hashtags related to your niche.
The tool is good for picking out keywords and angles along the way.

Don't be shy go ahead and leave a thanks and chime in too, content locking IMO could do with being discussed around here a bit more.
I have lots to offer with this type of stuff so will likely start sharing my experiences and guides.

Still good money to be made using the streaming niche, YouTube has changed a lot, but given the correct approach its do-able.
