Is it wise to have multiple offers running as a newbie?

I'm following the mobile cookbook and it only specifies the instructions for following one offer and making campaigns / optimizing for that one offer.

However I think that I can get more info out of trying 2 or 3 different offers and making campaigns for each of them will give me more data / experience I need to make better judgments when optimizing my campaigns.

Thoughts?

When I started a month ago I had multiple offers running all at the same time. I was pumping them out non stop. None of them were profitable, maybe they were all duds or maybe I wasn't able to focus properly. I've since slowed down and am focusing on one at a time.

There's plenty of info to gain from a failed campaign. But you have to be properly focusing and understand why it failed. It would suck to have three campaigns all running with bad tracking or some other technical issue that's preventing it from being a success.

Just my $0.02

It depends on budget/skill/experience/time.

If you can split-test similar offers on the back-end of a campaign (or the same one across networks) then that's a done deal. Do it.

If you are trying to learn and feel your way through things, focus on one at a time but don't get too invested.

Just to expand on Zeno's point: you can run multiple offers in a single campaign if you like, but if you're asking about running multiple campaigns each running a single offer, that's different.

You should ABSOLUTELY run multiple campaigns with different offers.

The Appetiser gives you the tools to run a campaign - but that doesn't mean you should just run one offer forever more. If the offer doesn't work after a couple of campaigns, drop it and move on to a new one - finding the right offer is 80% of the battle.

And the more campaigns you launch, the closer you'll get to success!
