05-03-2015 01:53 PM #4 James POP ()

Its both.

We offer both owned Adware traffic & direct publisher sites.

05-04-2015 04:23 AM #5 lanikai87 (Member)

is there a way to buy only adware traffic

Our traffic is a mix of 70% adware traffic & 30% direct publishers.
With a bit of assistance by us we can help you achieve higher % of adware traffic but not 100% at the moment.

05-05-2015 08:04 AM #7 hlyghst ()

Hey James. Interested. I will take a look.

05-06-2015 05:53 AM #13 andy_d (Veteran Member)

Gave this traffic source a try a while back.

Poor results.

Needs contextual targeting at the very least, otherwise, it's very broad RON style traffic.

05-06-2015 07:03 AM #14 James POP ()

@andy_d,

Sorry to hear you did not succeed with us.
It sounds like you were using our old platform. I would love it if you can take a look at the new one, which does have KW & Domain targeting as well as negative targeting.

Cheers

05-06-2015 07:34 AM #15 andy_d (Veteran Member)

How recent was the update James?

I tested it out back in March this year. I remember there being such targeting available but it didn't work the same as other pop traffic.

05-06-2015 12:10 PM #16 James POP ()

Indeed for some advertiser KW traffic is less than the bigger PPV networks.
To get best value for KW traffic it is best to test domain redirect.

lets PM and see why we did not assist enough.

Any plans on showing competitors' bids, or at least something that shows me what I need to bid to be at the top?

05-06-2015 11:45 PM #18 jennatalia (AMC Alumnus)

What is the roadmap for adding more macros to pass data through to the tracking solutions we use?

E.g.

Bid?
Type (Adware/Website)

@jennatalia,

We will start working on new macros around the beginning of June, this year of course ;]
It would be great if you could PM me with all the macros you feel you need n order to be efficient in optimizing.

That doesn't explain anything.

Also would like to know why after making a change to my presell, which caused an error I didn't notice. So when viewing the presell, only a blank page would show up. It ran like this for a couple hours.

I discovered the error because I was still getting clicks to my offer page, but now with no affid, or sid. Don't see how anything other than a bot could click on that blank page and get to my offer page.

05-08-2015 10:46 PM #23 fjk87 (Veteran Member)

The way I see the screenshot, you've effectively paid 6.42 and not 100. I don't know how their system works, but it's possible the total budget for the campaign gets deducted from the available balance.

Check your bids a bit... you're paying $0.01 per view which results in a CPM of $10. Kind of a bit "too premium" for me for pop traffic.

Thats the way it reads to me as well, but my $100 i put in is gone, and the acct is paused for no budget.

I submitted a report ticket over 24 hours ago, and still no response.

They arne't very responsive and the ui is very buggy, I also had poor performance with the traffic and its very hard to optimize overall.

Correct me if i'm wrong but Zeropark brokers this pop traffic?

06-03-2015 09:52 AM #29 hangman (Member)

@James POP when will the bid ranking be coming in? It will good to see where we rank so we can adjust the bids accordingly...

Hi @Hangman.

Our R&D team is building it as we speak.

Hi guys,

Can someone please help me with tracking this activity through Voluum - emailed SelfAdvertiser and they replied with an unhelpful "we are not experts in this".

All of the source data (i.e. website ID's) are showing up as "Unknown" for some reason.

Note, I am using the token @@SOURCE@@.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks for your help guys.

06-12-2015 11:31 PM #32 skeatatu (AMC Alumnus)

What about changing the thread title? Your title is hugely misleading.

I would go over everything again. It's working for me w/ Voluum. Make sure all the macros are in there how they should be, make sure the checkbox is checked to track that variable, make sure the links you have pasted in SelfAdvertiser are right. Then turn on some traffic.

Any possibilities to work on a CPI/CPL/CPA basis? We have +800 offers that we need traffic for (worldwide).
If yes, hit me up via skype. If not, can you share abit about the pricing structure of your platform?

The bidding model we currently use are 2:

CPV - cost per view (for pop's and zero click traffic)
CPC- cost per click (for search traffic)

How does the search traffic targeting work? Is there a place to add keywords?

07-24-2015 09:12 AM #41 algolova (Member)

Selfadvertiser has good traffic but can't target by carriers. I have no idea how anybody can be profitable in mobile without this feature.
Account manager told me that they are working on this but don't know when it is ready.

07-24-2015 09:16 AM #42 jennatalia (AMC Alumnus)

Would be nice if there was a way to sell unwanted traffic back to the network

Yes.
Select KW campaign under create new PPC campaigns and you will have the KW targeting feature there.
Add ass many as you believe can work for you, one at each row.

Indeed we are working on carrier targeting.

As we just recently started mobile this tech us still not set on the platform.

Soon to come though ;]

What do you mean?

08-13-2015 02:53 PM #46 jennatalia (AMC Alumnus)

Suppose I buy all us chrome traffic.

Within my tracking, I know that certain versions of chrome are more valuable than others. Id like to be able to send the less desirable versions back to the traffic network to participate in the auction.

08-13-2015 04:13 PM #47 mopc007 (AMC Alumnus)

how to set up campaign with more than 1 geo?

08-23-2015 09:22 AM #48 mrchow (Member)

A lot of bad reviews in this thread. Any update for the quality?
I need some pop sources to scale up my campaign

I have to say that I'm quite pleased and have an interesting ROI. But I'm running in a very low scale...

08-27-2015 03:24 AM #50 egor (AMC Alumnus)

Wow, with all the bad reviews I get very few competition on such an awesome traffic source! Thanks guys!

How do you suggest doing that?
(except targeting features in the platform which is on its's way)

You check the box next to each geo you wish to target.

Hi all,

The SelfAdvertiser.com team just release the new conversion pixel feature.

So, if you wish, you can use it.

Cheers

By the way:
We recently blocked over 40 Isp's, I believe you know the result of this action yielded ;]

09-22-2015 07:14 AM #54 jjbachiller (AMC Alumnus)

Hi @James POP, Is the bonus still alive?

We do not re-sell it, we just block it.

Even though it may be hard for some to believe, we do not wish to make dirty money.
Bot traffic is not generated by traffic sources. At list not by most of them.
It is generated by publishers who wish to increase their revenue and make a "hit & run".
For networks short term is not a business model, as I believe you can agree with.
