How to set up cloaking for PPC (Bing/Google)?

I need help to properly set up cloaking for a few campaigns I plan to launch on Adwords. Are there any tools that I need to properly set it up.

How can one detect if there is a visitor from the monitoring team and cloak appropriately?

I've been only involved with SEO till now, just getting into paid traffic. Please help.

I don't think it is possible to cloak Adwords, atleast not for long, they will figure it out soon and ban you.

You can use Voluum to cloak most places. You just need to spend some $$$ on "legit" looking campaigns first and start compiling data for approvals and spiders etc. EG ISP they use, browsers/user agents, referrer etc.. and set up rules accordingly. Won't be as robust as a paid cloaking solution, but if done right can be effective on any network.

For anyone starting out - I recommend you focus on getting some campaigns up and running and not worry about stuff like cloaking.

Once you have some campaigns under your belt, you have some data that you can use to build your own rules and filters in Voluum or Thrive.

The next stage are the advanced tools - but they are costly - not just the membership but also the processes you need around that to get real value from the tools.

There are then a range of tools to choose from - and the choice depends on a number of factors:

* hosted solution or self hosted - like Voluum or Thrive
* flat fee, pay per campaign or pay per clicks - some charge based on the number of campaigns you have, others charge based on total clicks
* traffic source support

And for completeness - here are the ones I am aware off:

Hosted:
* justcloakit
* trafficarmor
* fraudbuster (used to be self hosted, now hosted)
* silentcloaker

Self Hosted:
* noipfraud

Just wanted to say it's nice to see a complete answer without simply trying to push your own product.

I completely agree with noipfraud on this.

Without question, it is possible to cloak Adwords. If you want to do it is another question altogether.

It is in the nature of search that the best traffic is highly targeted and highly relevant. Adwords rewards you for being highly relevant with higher QS, higher adrank, lower CPC. A lot of times reaching a high relevancy and building up high QS will lead to profitability of your campaign. That is, if your landing page converts.

Setting up campaigns, building trust and relevancy is a slow and costly process. When caught cloaking you'll instantly lose all account that can be linked to the banned account. Trust me I know, I've lost dozens of accounts. A word of warning: the big G does not take lightly to cloaking!
