Things to NOT do in Facebook - so you don't lost the account.

EDIT: so you don't LOSE the account (writing this at 2am)

I've lost a few accounts even running white hat stuff on FB. Below are some things I stay far away from because they seem to trigger negative issues. Can you guys add any other things that you've noticed to increase the chance of your account getting banned? That would be awesome.

1. Do not delete comments and/or censor words like 'scam' etc. This seems to bring about a manual review, which eventually leads to a ban.

2. You credit card putting a pause on your account and a payment not going through, this banned my account once (never again...).

3. Certain tracking links (like cpvlab, Voluum etc) can trigger a warning. You can actually see the clickable ad in power editor, it's a good idea to click through on it to make sure it works correctly. If you see a 70%-90% click loss, this is probably what caused it.

What else do you guys see as causing account bans when you run legit stuff?? I'm specifically curious about how quickly can you ramp up spend without triggering too much attention. Anyone care to chip in?

Thanks!

Just giving you some feedback on our experience.

1. Had many accounts with keyword filter and it ran fine.

2. had credit card paused, FB just messaged said having payment problem and asked us to put in a new credit card.

3. Use Voluum link fine, didn't get banned or anything.

I believe all the items mentioned by OP can be factors in a ban, I don't think he is saying that if you do any one of these items you will get flagged. In my experience those things, along with others like your ad, payment method, location, etc all get combined together to trigger the algo. So doing any one of those things doesn't mean you will get flagged, or even all three. There are many factors and those are just a few that may contribute to trigger the algo.

Yeah, that's definitely my belief. I think once you hit a few 'red flags' the likelyhood of that account being banned goes up. Another post on here by fbqueen suggested that there are also 'positive signals' that improve the account health. Doing this like running non-promotional posts and getting likes on the ads, relevance scores etc adds positive signals to the account.

Thanks for everyone input.

Dont log in to your account using Proxy or other IP changer tools.

it looks also that FB have changes stuff in their script, in the past (2 month ago) all affiliate links got rejected, even when trying with tiny URL (Has Offers style).
but from around 2 month's ago only specific affiliate links got rejected which lead me to assume that FB is now looking at "deeper" parameters in the link before its rejecting it. like affiliate ID.
i have tried this with 2 different accounts on the same PC one got rejected the other went through just fine.

anybody else encountered that?
