I'm looking to outsource my (mostly one-page) mobile landing page needs.
Going to odesk or similar sites come to mind. However, I can't invest time at the moment on finding someone there that can deliver reliably decent results. Ipaid quite a bit there to poor performing freelancers.
So I was hoping someone could recommend a few options of already established services in this space?
Testing a lot is key, so spending $100+ for a page would not work out.
I thought bannerslander.com that iamattila is promoting here looked like a perfect match in terms of of reviews, pricing, fast turnaround, but the guys behind this are basially competiting affiliates that further monetize their inhouse designers.
Any good alternative options that come recommended?
+1 for banners and landers. I've used them to create a couple and they were great.
I've been able to find some GREAT people on Odesk. It does not take that much to find them either.
2 Things to keep in mind when hiring.
- State clearly that NO AGENCIES can apply for the job (they have polluted Odesk and they are always crap)
- Arrange results by reviews and only pick people who have been around for a while.
You don''t need someone who is incredibly skilled. Landing pages are fairly simple for someone who can code. You are only looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and whom you get along with.
9 out of 10 people from India where terrible. Philippine's, Indo, Poland, South Africa ec. FTW
Hire bannerslanders to make you a dummy landing page based on a completely different niche.
Use their landing page as a template.
If you want freelancers go with oDesk.
If you want a full time employee ( which isn't very expensive ) , I would hire someone from the Philippines.
Sites you can use to hire from PH are easyoutsource.com , onlinejobs.ph etc.
thanks for the feedback. I was able to found someone over word of mouth in South America
$5/hour, pretty solid quality as far as I can tell (coding, design, etc). I consider $5 cheap, especially when hiring on a project by project basis.
Just curious when you hire full time employees in the Philippines, what do you typically go for for this kind of work? More or less per hour?
