What are the best traffic source for game app install ?

I'm using Decisive and Go2Mobi and need to know if they are good with game app installs.

We see plenty of advertisers have success with game app installs on the Go2mobi platform. Definitely one of our top 3 verticals.

A few recommended settings to supercharge your campaigns on Go2mobi:

  1. Set your frequency cap to 1 during testing
  2. Use a session depth of 1-10 during testing
  3. For offers with payouts greater than $0.50, use the auto-bidder. If less than $0.50, try standard bidding between $0.05 and $0.15, depending on geo.
  4. Be sure to use our AWESOME daily budget / placement feature. I'd recommend setting this to 2-3x your CPA goal for payouts greater than $0.50. If your payout is less than $0.50, I'd recommend going no higher than $1.00.

The features above have helped countless advertisers hit $x,xxx daily. If you want any more tips, or further explanation on the features mentioned above, I'd be happy to go into further detail I have plenty of advice to share.

I'd love to! We've seen advertisers find success in every vertical, but in no particular order, the top 3 contenders would be:

Sweepstakes have also been picking up steam lately, but the success hasn't been stable enough for me to definitively say that's a top-3 vertical.

I struggled to make Go2mobi work for me on a utility 0.20 $ app install

out of your experience, is it possible to get/have you seen affiliates making such low payout offers work in any of the Go2mobi's exchanges?

thanks!

Totally! I've seen tons of advertisers hit $x,xxx with $0.30 or lower offers. Keep in mind that with such a low payout, it can be pretty dependent on geo & exchange. I would strongly recommend Smaato for such an offer.

If you have multiple geos, it can be worthwhile to do a broad test with a bid of $0.05-$0.10, frequency cap = 1, session depth =1-10 to see where you can get enough volume to optimize towards your CPA goal (while still maintaining scale & data collection quality). Once you determine where you can scale effectively, break that geo out into its own campaign and test it on its own.

After following the outlined process, I would recommend spending at least $60 per geo before conclusively deciding to pause or continue with the campaign. I've seen some advertisers spend as much as $300 before hitting a positive ROI and scaling to $x,xxx. If there are profitable pockets, continue. If no, pause the campaign and move on.

"broad test with a bid of $0.05-$0.10"
Isn't lowest bid $.25 when creating campaign or you mean for specific placements?

I thought this also, would love to know the answer to this one..

@go2mobi

Grandin, when I try to flat bid 0.10, the suggestion box comes up saying that I need to increase the bid to 0.25 to be illegible for traffic. Also, an interesting approach testing multiple geos at once in one campaign. What do you suggest regarding creatives? All in English?

$0.25 is the default CPM I see when making a campaign, but it can be lowered to $0.01 easily. If you set it to $0.0099999 it gives a red X, so the floor is clearly $0.01.

It would be a bit silly to have a $0.25 CPM floor - there are plenty of geos where a lot of traffic comes in for under that (and Go2mobi seems to be run by intelligent people!).

This is depending on geo, as far as I know. You are always eligible for traffic, but if your WR% drops below 2%, your campaign will shut down in an effort to save system resources.

As for language, it depends on the grouping of your geos. I think that would come down to pure logic based on where you're targeting. If none of the countries speak English, obviously, English won't be the best way to go. Just find whatever language is most applicable to the countries available for your offer. I mean, ideally, if you could find a banner that had solid performance without using any language whatsoever, that would be ideal. Something super simple & generic.

Remember that this is a test for scale, and that you can later start running specific banners for each specific country/language. Don't go paying for banner translations before you're sure you can get traffic in a geo at a price that makes sense for your offer. hlyghst had a great post the other day sharing his tip for determining your bid strategy without using an auto-bidder. I think this would be extremely relevant to this conversation.

zeno already covered this one- the bid floor is $0.01. The $0.25 default bid is purely arbitrary.

Hi Mauluc,

We have been adding features to help with app installs.

I think the Keyword targeting is a BIG strength. We use contextual keywords to find apps that are associated with the keywords that make the most sense for your campaign. This helps you find the interested parties with less waste in spend.

Combined with the ability to retarget and specific only uniquely identified traffic you can follow up on promising leads with a new angle or another opportunity to install.

I am new to go2mobi. For those who hit 4 figures/day for games vertical, what type of traffic do they used? Banner ads?

And what kind of banner ads size work best on go2mobi and games? 320x50?

Thanks in advance.
