Hey all.
I'm just split-testing my landing pages. But how should I split test landing pages of the offer? For example the offer I'm promoting has 5 different landing pages. So if I have 5 landing pages that I've created and 5 offer pages that would mean 25 combinations! Should I really split test all 25 combinations?
And how can I split test different offer URL's in
So again I'd need to create 25 landing pages combinations in
Wow, do you really need/want to make it so complex?
Such combinations require a lot of traffic to get any statistical significance.
Why not try testing two landers at first, and see if you can tweak that. Then test the offer page.
Two things come to mind that could help:
1. Don't go crazy about all this testing. You need enough data to validate your decisions. If you don't have enough data, your landers are worthless. Pick the best ones and splittest them. (There are calculators that help you determine the amount of traffic that you need in order to reach statistical significance.)
2. If you want to splittest offer-landers, you need to create one offer for each lander in voluume. You can split the traffic of your campaign between more than one offer when you set it up.
The way I go about this is to ask my AM which offer landers are performing best. There’s generally one or two that are beating off all the rest. Just use these 1/2 to start with.
As buddstr said, if you’re using more than one offer LP you’ll need to set them up as separate “offers" on
Result: A couple of landers in the mix and in the end you have ONE campaign on your traffic source going to ONE campaign in
Later when you have decided the offer is good and you’ve narrowed down your landing pages and everything else you can add in the other offer LP’s (as new offers) if you still want to test them.
