Is PoF still a viable starting point? (4)

Is PoF still a viable starting point?

Hi all,

I've started affiliate marketing about a month ago with PoF, but I've been wondering (specially after checking STM) if I should switch to mobile.
I know I'm just starting and I should stick to PoF until I make it, but I feel like I'm missing the mobile "train".

What do you guys think? Should I stick with PoF or jump to mobile?

POF is still a viable source and people are still making money on there. Right now may be even better with them closing for new applicants perhaps keeping bids lower.

However, yes there is a huge amount of potential on mobile. Although it’s not nearly as easy as it was a while back, as every affiliate and his dog are also trying to board the train.

I started on POF years ago and I found it a great way to learn the basics of marketing and am grateful for that time I spent there.

I think the number one problem with AM is people chasing the new shiny object. I know I’m still guilty of it all the time - I'll read a success story and I'll want to drop everything and go earn $x,xxxxx per minute like this other guy!! But have to slap myself on the wrist.

There’s no instant success formula, and people make money everywhere including on POF.

Sorry that this post probably hasn’t helped you at all in your decision, but all I’ll say is you can’t keep chasing that shiny new object forever, because there’s always gonna be another one elsewhere.

Thank you, that was actually a great reply. I need to get my shit together and just stick to POF until I make it. Then I can learn other traffic sources.

I’m glad it was of use

See if you can build a whole load of little profitable long term niche campaigns, and then you can always use that money as a way of funding your ventures into the mobile world at a later date.

All the best!
