Hey guys,
i notice that on LI, different categories/subcategories have different prices per pop.
does this matter on LI? For example, should we categorize a game offer under 'Gaming' or is doing otherwise something that jesus wouldn't do?
• does categorizing a campaign under a non-relevant category affect the pop ups?
• does categorizing under the right category up your pops, quality, etc?
• do LI reviewers have daily pms?
Lets discuss. Thanks y'all!
I put all my campaigns as the strangest category I can find that's at the minimum price. I've run dating under entertainment -> other, I've run game downloads under government and I've run email submits under nonprofit. It doesn't really matter, from my experience. Put your campaigns in a category that's cheap and don't look back.
I've always put mine under Lifestyle -> Other
theres really nothing to discuss.. LI is trying to scam people and charge us more for different categories.. smh
LOL vidivo!
Lifestyle-Other is your friend
i prefer "public service" lol
i use lifestyle---> weddings for dating....i guess its somewhat related...u r tryin to hook people up! HOWEVER LI have been checking up on this this lately and changing your category without notification, i'm not sure what their process is cause it seems kinda random. I have had about 15 dating campaigns running and they went and changed two of them to $0.028 and left the rest, so just make sure you check them daily so that ur CPV hasn't doubled without u knowing!
here's a tip i just posted in another thread last night.
when you are going with int'l traffic such as UK or France, put your category to Government ---> Elections and you'll pay .015 min instead of .017. it saves you A LOT of money the long run
note: it doesn't work for every country.
Hi all,
It seems like LI is checking all the time now. I just tried to submit a typical $1000.00 gift card to a popular retail store type of offer into Lifestyle --> Other. It got denied. I got an email saying it was a "Sweepstakes", and if I wanted to accept the new category AND the min bid of .020, I should reply to this email.
Are others doing a "bait and switch"? Put up a lander that will get approved for a minimum bid category and then switch it later? Is this plaing with fire?
I use T202 so all my lander URLs are unique.
Video game landers are now .03 - OUCH!
Any advice?
ALSO: Anyone know if LI post the CPV by categories?
I just started running with LI and I tried posting a pet contest campaign under "Entertainment" and received the email about "Sweepstakes" too, min bid .02.
Haven't see anything with LI posting the cost per category anywhere.
Can anyone here address how they "get away" with submitting a category based on the lowest cpc?
See my post above ( sorry to double post).
Thanks!
it just depends on WHO is approving your campaign
some are lazy, some are not
if you get the high bids, just resubmit another campaign... although they are getting more strict about this it seems
It really depends on who approves I guess.
Don't think LI is not reading these forums, the more people talk about what categories to choose for lower prices, the more they will crack down on it.
