Difference between redirect types (2)

There are three campaign redirect types which you can choose from in your campaign setup page.

Direct Redirect: This will send the Referrer through to Offer network

Double Meta Refresh: This blanks the referrer.

Redirect Loop: This will check to make sure the referrer is blanked. If it is, the redirect goes straight through. If it’s not however, this feature will loop through the meta refresh until the referrer is blanked and then send it through as usual.

Redirect Loop will add some additional time to the redirects…which is why this is completely optional and we only recommend using this feature when security of the referrers is a significant issue.

The default option is Double Meta Refresh. With Direct Redirect the transition between pages is faster, but the referrer gets passed to the Affiliate Network which is not recommended.

The meta redirect modes are relevant for those of you who want to cloak your referrers (direct linking) or landing page URLs, we recommend the double meta refresh for this. Use the default 302 if you want the fastest redirect possible and are not concerned with cloaking.
