Fb toughens up...

I have an account suspended due to suspicious payment activity. I responded to their emails and got this message back...

Thanks for providing this information. At this time, we cannot verify the ownership of the account. Please reply to this email with a scanned image of a government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) in order to confirm your ownership of the account. Please black out any personal information that is not needed to verify your identity (e.g., social security number). Rest assured that we will permanently delete your ID from our servers once we have used it to verify the authenticity of your account.

Additionally, please include all of our previous correspondence so that we can refer to your original email. Once we have received this information, we will reevaluate the status of the account. Please note that we will not be able to process your request unless you send in proper identification. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Any idea why you have "suscpicious payment activity" on your account? Did you add a new payment method or something?

Looks like the "suscpicious payment activity" is something general. I had the same message on one of my suspended Facebook accounts and after contacting them they reply with the this mad message http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-with-Facebook!

No idea why it got flagged. It was a relatively new account but it happened as soon as I got a spend increase from $250 to $1000.

It may well be becauseI think they are definitely doing some more thorough checks now. They are definitely adopting some of Google's strategies.

I responded by telling them that I don't feel comfortable with Facebook having my scanned documents on file for privacy issues. I even asked them if its in accordance with their privacy policy

What's really crap is that I have profitable campaigns that need to run!!!

I got the same 'account suspended for suspicious payment activity' last week. I responded saying I had been traveling across the US (I had a friend use that account to do some cloacking fun stuff ) but I have not heard back from them

No. Almost a 100% approval rate on that account. Never promoted anything remotely dodgy - not even dating. My average CTR's where very high but it did not get flagged because of ads. At least I don't think so cause I never had anything retro disapproved.

Got flagged because of the account itself and payment method.

I think part of it is the FB account itself. When you open a new account and start advertising on it straight away it may be suspicious.

I'm trying on some "aged" accounts now that have full profiles and that looks like a legit and working Facebook account.

The pain of starting with $50 a day...

Yupp I got suspicious payment activity on many of myaccounts. I think they're tracking ip's now.

I'm not so sure about the IP thing (at least not in this case).

This account was on my brother's name and with his address - he only lives half a mile from me.

if you are NOT cloaking

I highly suggest that everyone look through your campaigns with WOT installed.

even if paused FB can hit you.

If it is something you are not running change ur link to something compliant (another offer of similiar that is WOT 'GREEN' or even a website that is 'OK'

the option is to delete those ads.

I did the same thing when google went on a tear and saved one account while the other 2 I didnt got toasted.

if it something active:
read the posts on getting multi FB accounts, get another account and cloak. make sure everything is far apart: do not do anything that is the same. they are tracking images now too )photoDNA(, even change up the txt a little.

do not let ur inactive past come back to haunt and destroy you or ur active ignorance now.

I just got done checking all my non-deleted campaigns and some of those old links went to some TOXIC stuff.

what I did was type in the subject of the ad and the grab the 1st organic site on google and then at ?subid= to the end put that in my p202 [ this if for PAUSED ads ONLY!]

that way if FB checks they will see a valid ad that goes to valid site that is relevant and has their 'sacred' WOT 'GREEN'

no guarantees, but they may help some people with getting their account banned for links that have changed to 'toxic' FB links.

I just had another idea as well - actually have your own page to check WoT ratings. Just looked up some stuff, you can add WoT indicators to your own sites, so could make a list of all the offers your pushing or have pushed and check every day to make sure nothing your running has been flagged.

Will probably do this from now on so I can dodge WoT flaggings that happen during a campaign.

yep, that is what I do. and get ur friends to comment too [not on ur computer DIFFERENT IP!!!]

I have come to realize that with all the companies. just because its paused doesnt mean its not 'alive' in their minds ( I have even had Trafficvance tell me to changer landers are paused creatives from 2yrs ago !!! [not I just show them what they want to see until Im ready] )

the next thing to do which I did with one adv. have them do a new domain and create compliant AND converting site. I cant tell u the one I am working with now but we went from banned on everything to now accepted and green lighted on everything!

think AIKIDO vs. KARATE... use their 'energy' against them [ok thats probably to zen for most... its 3:33 am :P]

I also just got done on TV and MSN cleaning up campaigns. I use Avast, Macfee & WOT to see how they are 'veiwed'

I can pretty much tell you that if they pass all those. your offer is "clean"

I have even gotten some offers to run DL on google following that process. (this month!)

The accounts getting flagged with "suspicious payment" warning is NOT because of your ads. I can say this with 100% certainty.

Its to do with your payment method - most likely because of a prepaid credit card or a Paypal that goes to a card that was connected to a previously banned account. They are very good now at sniffing out a trail like that.

Its good to clean up campaigns though. I now just delete campaigns that aren't running anymore - especially after testing something that did not work.

No, a 'no reputation' is ok. BTW, does anyone know how to permanently remove ads from the 'creative library'? I'm trying to clean up my account but my ad library screams 'affiliate'.

It's fucked. I checked MYWOT for Wizard101 before submitting it (direct linking). It had great overall scored.

It all got approved without a problem - but the second I tried running it - I got the MyWOT FB page.

It seems like even if the overall scores are great - but some individuals give bad reviews like "adware/spyware" then it still trips it.

the neutral ranking does not hurt you on FB. but why leave it neutral?!

You don't need the WoT toolbar to add rankings/scores. Just make an account at mywot.com, search for the site and then add your scores. I've been considering making lots of accounts with all my gmail addresses and using Overplay to highly rank sites. Although they probably filter out things like that. I.e. dozens of new users suddenly all ranking the same site up. I suppose I could rank lots of other sites at the same time, but that requires effort.
