How do you spend your time??? (9)
I am about 6 months into my AM career, have run/am running a couple campaigns and am still trying to unlock my first profitable campaign. When I played basketball, eventually I hit the point where I realized how to practice smarter, be more efficient with my time and focus on the things that would give me the greatest return on my efforts. I wanted to ask anybody that has achieved that success point in AM - How do you spend your time becoming better at AM???
I have a flexible job and have between 7-10 hours/day I can spend on AM...but honestly don't know how to spend it to improve myself! Most people on here advise newbies to devote themselves to one vertical and one traffic source and master it which limits the amount of information to absorb.
I realize this might seem like a dumb question and I might get slammed for asking...but I also realize that this forum is full of incredibly smart, successful people who have overcome the same obstacles I am facing and that it was created for the purpose of helping each other.
So for that reason I ask...How do you spend your time becoming better at AM???
I spend my time breathing AM, constantly talking to other people about their campaigns, checking forums, joining webinars, asking affiliate managers for hot offers etc...
Participating in groups on Skype also helped me a lot. Most people will be nice when you join a STM Skype group.
Why not spy on the competition and create a similar campaign but make it better or translate it and use it in an other geo. The possibilities are endless.
I've been doing AM for years now and I haven't hit that sweet spot that you want either but I've never used paid traffic before before I joined STM 2 months ago (except for some silly Facebook campaign and some other small tests) and I've seen that it's the best way to get great results but you have to spend a decent amount first for testing.
For example I joined here and everyone said do the mobile cookbook, the 100$ is still on decisive because I got distracted by ppv traffic and the "I don't have to make a banner and I get the full page part". I tested popads, popcash,dntx,zeropark simply because I didn't want to spend money on making banners. I can rip and code decent landers but designing banners from scratch annoys me. It's whatever you like. Like I said above --> The possibilities are endless...

Skype masterminds are a great way to always be talking/thinking about ideas and learning from others.
Reading all the follow alongs on STM can be really great too in learning through others' experience.
Spying is always a great way to learn by analysing other successful campaigns and seeing what they are and why they’re working.
The best way to learn though is to test. If you have budget to spend, test test test 
Read, watch inspirational videos, spy, i honestly been doing these things, now i read and watch video less because it helps at the beginning, once your mindset is set up, you can slow down and enjoy what money are good for.
When i work hard i get in a trance status, where i am so pumped up that i don t listen to anyone i just get shit done, it lasts 2-3 hours though, then i start getting dizzy or i feel overwhelmed and i slow down, it s a good time to take a break, go out, gym, walk, get out of there for one hour or so, then come back and u will feel better!
For me, it's been teaching AM to other people. Each person seems to teach me something in return that I didn't know before.
Another thing I do is reinvest part of my revenue into completely different traffic sources and verticals. It's been paramount in providing steady revenue streams.

For me I would spend time this way :
1 - Most important of all, test test and test. Nothing beats hands on experience.
2 - Talk to other people. It's much more difficult those days to hit it big without having any connections or sharing info
3 - Spy to get an idea what works
4 - Read copywriting / marketing books to be able to come up with unique angles
Thanks to everyone for your feedback. It has already been a help to me - created alternatives to landers, joined another mastermind group, been reading more STM content. I currently don't do any spying which is going to change immediately. The 2 things that kept coming up on these replies: 1. testing, 2. spying.
Would love more feedback if there is anybody else out there.
