Does Google Number HIDES my promo number?

Should i take care how pretty is my promo number if i use Google Phono Number conversions?

Are you asking if google changes the phone number shown on your ad extension when using google's call reporting? If yes, the answer is yes. To use google's call reporting (including conversion tracking) you have to use Google's call forwarding feature which uses a new google provided number on your ad. Your promo number will not be seen on your ad, so it doesn't matter how pretty it is.

I have not found that using their forwarding numbers hurts conversions at all. The only reason to keep your promo number and turn off forwarding IMO is if you have a really good vanity number that people would remember. If you're number is 800 222 2222 you might want people to see that number, but you're still going to lose your tracking.

No way around proper tracking without using Google's numbers right? Does Google only give 1800 tollfree's or can we use local area codes as well? I'm assuming the latter would result in higher call%.
