Any experience with TURN (dsp) ?

Hi guys,

Looking for huge traffic and asking if anyone has any good or bad experience with TURN?

I will start working with them cause they are willing to manage the campaigns when we have a specific min. spend per month.

I didn't know they started offering a managed service, I only ever knew them as a tech company.
That means they are now in the same category as Matomy, Fiksu, DMG, MediaMath, etc...
Just keep in mind the following with these companies:
1. if you're asking them to run performance campaigns, you are their least favourite customer. They all much prefer to have brands, either directly or via agencies. Very often the Brands just want impressions, or a certain duration. It's much less hassle for them, requires a lot less excel-pivot-tables, data crunching, etc.
2. they will give your campaign to someone who has a dozen other campaigns and clients
3. they will reassure you that the above 1 and 2 is not the case.

My two cents is: If all you're looking for is a media buyer then hire someone. At the very least you will know their work-load, and can steer them to within an inch of their life.

Depending on the type of huge traffic you are looking for, you have several options. This thread on scaling traffic may be of interest

Thank you very much for the information and the link.

What we (brand) want to do right now is managing agency's who will manage the media buys for us. So instead of going to each ad network and creating campaigns, the idea is to manage the agency's so
more Rev for the same time spend.

Does this make sense and how do you guys think about it? Any comments?

Sure, understood.
Our experience has been that managed services, while they are an option, are never as good as in-house. The motivation, attention to detail and general drive to make it profitable are never the same.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you can just hand over a campaign, and the incumbent will be able to make a success of it.
You've got to follow-along on the daily CPA, cumulative CPA for the week / month; keep an eye on budget spend, etc.
Here is a list of questions that I compiled when speaking to agencies.
Hope it helps

Unless there's other incentives on the table (common for certain categories) however this will rarely be the case across an affiliate account.
