I recently got CPV Labs and in beginning to examine the engage rate feature, noticed that most of the hits coming in from leadimpact traffic are not even viewing the popup for more than a second or 2.
my popups come up superfast, so there is no lag time. so i am wondering how it is possible that so many pops can be closed so fast unless it was done programmatically.
makes me think a lot of leadimpact traffic is fake junk traffic, and it wouldnt surprise me one bit knowing how they did business a few years back when they were known as zango.
either that, or maybe there is some way users can have the popups automatically close upon loading somehow, like a software that does it for them to function how a regular popup blocker works. I know a regular popup blocker wont block the pops but is there anything else out there that would?
or maybe its just that possibly cpv labs' engage rate feature is flawed?
anyone have any experience with this that has looked deeper into it?
I don't think there is software that does it and even if there is most users would not have it installed. I would say it is normal but I don't use CPVlab so don't know how quickly they close the pop-up. I would imagine that many of them which are used to getting 4 pop-ups maybe more from multiple toolbars installed are just used to immediately closing the window as soon as it starts to show. There will be another second from when LI pop-up starts to when it hits CPVlab to start counting.
That is all just my opinion. Do you get traffic from other PPV vendors. If so how dies their engage time compare?
Engage rate is always much much higher with any TV campaign, feature seems to work fine for me.
I think LI just spams popups so people get used to closing them pretty fast. I know when I had LI installed and didn't care about looking at ads I closed the popup windows in less than a second.
yeah, i though about the issue of them closing the pop as soon as it starts showing, BUT.. they would have to move the mouse cursor to where the close icon on the window is and then close it, so unless they were already positioned right at that exact spot all the time, i dont see how so many people can move the mouse to the exact location instantly and close the window that fast
Have not used lead impact in awhile, but if they shit popups like they used to it's no wonder people are sick of them and closing them down instantly.
What setting should we set the Engage Rate to? Is 3 seconds good enough? Then what % ideally would we be wanting?
