Separating my 'company' domain and my LP/tracking domain ?

A newbie question:
I have set up a site for my marketing 'company'.
Is there a reason I would want to separate this domain from the domain(and subdomains) I use for my tracking software and landing pages? I.e. buy additional domain to use for my tracking software and landing pages?

Thanks.

I personally have my company on it’s own named domain, a separate domain for tracker, separate domains for landing pages depending on verticals.

Reasons
- If someone spies and finds my one and only domain, it will be a lot easier for them to find all my other landers and verticals etc - all in one convenient place for them.
- Privacy of my company.
- User being put off by going to “randomcompanymedia.com/xxxxx” to meet hot chicks….
- Etc etc.

Pluses and minuses if you want to be found or not.

If you use the same and a merchant wants to find you direct they might look at your link and come to your site. Then will email you. But 100's of affiliate networks will bother you for your traffic as well. Depends on if you want that.

On the bad side. If the advertiser is doing anything shady and pisses off customers, which you have no control over, the customers might come to your site and complain to you.

Thanks for the input, more comment with pros/cons and what you do yourself would be much appreciated.

I keep my company stuff 100% separate, very easy to track down other websites on the same IP address and with some offers I certainly would not want to be linked

Mom is getting more technical...
