Web Vs Mobile Question

Hello everyone. A quick question:

Let's say I want to promote a dating offer that accepts all kinds of traffic.

Does it ever make sense to send web traffic when I can send mobile traffic to the same offer with the same payout?

The reason I'm asking is because mobile traffic is always supposed to be cheaper and every time an offer is available on both mobile and web via separate links, the mobile payout is less than it is on web.

So going mobile in this case seems to be the advantage. Is that correct?

The only way to find this out is to test.

Sometimes you can send mobile traffic to web offers, yeah. And sometimes it works. But sometimes if the offer isn’t optimised for mobile it won’t work as well as for web.

It’s all about testing

Just remember that generally mobile user would not want to enter and type in long for or many fields in their handphone.

I know that I always skip long for when on mobile. And only check back later in desktop.

But then again, your data will tell you

Definitely test it. I've seen mobile traffic fail horribly on Web offers, but I've also seen the opposite happen!

If you look around the forums, Maynzie wrote a case study a while back about a campaign he ran sending mobile traffic to a Web offer.
