I've looked on the forums but haven't really seen a mention of this.
On a lot of traffic sources (i.e leadbolt, airpush) they let you choose a category for the campaign.
Sometimes traffic sources have 50+ categories. My question is whether this is for your own organizational purposes or whether the category you select actually influences the traffic you receive.
My guess is that on leadbolt the traffic is catered based on where they find the category of offer converts best but on Airpush where they have 50+ categories that this is just for organizational purposes.

AirPush rep said to me that it's purely for internal reference, makes no difference to campaign traffic.
not sure on others sources, but I'd imagine it's for type of app/ site you want traffic from.
