I've never submitted the creatives I'm running before starting any traffic. How many of you actually do this with each campaign and has anyone had problems with payouts later on when not submitting these prior to starting traffic?

Thanks!

Really depends on the merchant. There's some merchants that will just not pay if they don't see the creatives. Or if they find you running something they didn't approve. I'd talk with your AM and ask how the merchant feels about it and what's the history been like.

Just remember you're always playing with fire. Be careful if it's not money you feel I'm losing.

Mhm, makes sense. I don't see the whole point of this really though from advertisers side.. I mean as an affiliate - if I'm cloaking and doing DMR from lp>>offer then I might as well give the advertiser compliant creatives.. not much he can do about it.. especially if my lead quality is decent.

And if the lead quality were to be below average even with compliant creatives, they would prly start shaving / boot me off the offer anyway.

If you give them compliant creatives and cloak ( thing that many do ) , if they find out they have the right to not pay you or even sue if the creatives used caused any damage to their company or brand.

Many affiliates do this, just need to asses carefully if the upside is worth the risk.

This is especially problematic for a few things.

1. U.S. Based companies bet cause the FTC holds merchants accountable for what their affiliates do.

2. Mobile app based companies in the app stores. There is strict rules around what can be done to be in Google play and Apples App Store. Potentially you could cause a merchant to get booted from the app stores. This happened with MoboGenie which is why they pulled back from the market so hard.
