So I quit STM back in January (sorry guys!) because I was spending too much time on the forum too much and not taking any action. I figured during my time away I would focus and mess around with the Zeropark -> YTZ arbitrage method and see what happens.
The numbers:
January:
Ad Spend- $267.65
Rev- $379.73
Profit- $112.09
Feb:
Ad Spend- $1762.66
Rev- $2179.57
Profit- $416.92
March
Ad Spend- $2478.89
Rev- $3737.11
Profit- $1258.22
April
I was pleased to see steady growth over 3 months as I added and optimized new campaigns, however, so far in April it seems that many of my best campaigns have died out. Literally, on the same day. Kind of leads me to believe some shady shit is going on with Zeropark or on the affiliate network side. I checked with YTZ and they are running the same offers/landers so if it's not a ZeroPark thing, maybe the advertiser is scrubbing or something? First my best campaigns stopped converting, ok fine maybe things got saturated...but then the ZP traffic literally stopped, even when I increased bids to #1 and #2 positions just to test. Anyway, that being said, I've dropped back to doing $15/day profit...so goes the hustle
The Takeaway
It was a fun experiment, but for the amount of time I had to spend optimizing my targets, adjusting bids and literally "playing the bid game" throughout the day with other people, I think it may be best for me to look into other areas. I believe the person who started the original thread said that this method isn't a long term strategy and I tend to agree.
Next Steps
I've decided that I want to take a stab at creating my own product that will be tailored to helping small business owners increase their sales and have more success with their business. I have spent over 10 years running a few local pretzel franchises and have learned A LOT in that time. My goal is to create a product that people can use to implement some of the strategies, tips, etc that I have learned in my own experiences.
That being said, if anyone has experience in product creation, I would LOVE the opportunity to talk further. In fact, if anyone is interested in a possible partnership drop me a message (Skype: PHLAds) =)
Thanks for your time everyone!
