Need advice after 2 days of campaign running

Hi all, I'm running my campaign from 2 days.

What do you experts would say about this statistics ?

These are 4 campaign in Decisive for the same offer (app install, utility).

The first two, running 1 day, different set of banners.
The last two, running from 2 2days, are splitted by wifi / mobile, same set of banners.
All campaigns same angle.

If I want to test out a new set of banners or a new angle, what's the best practice ? Create a new campaign in Voluum and then in the traffic source ?

1) I don’t think you’ve spent enough to get any serious data.
2) What payout is the offer?

On decisive I’m a fan of using the “CPA” to judge the successfulness of campaigns.
If I have good banners I concentrate on the CPA on each placement and pick out the winning gems.

Hi Ruby,

the payout is 0.27.

What do you mean when you say "concentrate on the CPA" ?

I think to have good banner but you're right that i do not have enough data to optimize.

I'm using smartcpm with cpa goal to 8x the payout...do i have to increase this value or bid directly by cpm ?

I concentrate on the stats it gives me in the “CPA” column. What this tells you is that for your first campaign at the moment you’re paying $3.03 per action taken (lead generated). You obviously want this to be below what you’re currently getting paid per lead (0.27).

I look at these CPA’s in the campaign stats (sites/apps/carriers etc) and hone in on the ones that have a CPA below my payout.

In terms of getting more traffic… have you looked at the planner on decisive? And the planner tells you that the ad sizes you’re using should have good traffic?

I'm using 320x50 banner size which has the best traffic from my geo (indonesia).

Today I've started another campaign using 6 new banners, same angle. Set up the manual cpm to $ 0.3 and daily budget to $ 48 with the goal to get more wins and so increase my CTR.

Here's the results:

As you can see I've spent more that yesterday but my CTR decreased while my CR increased or almost is good enough.

My CPA is high and thus far from a "profitable" value for my 0.25 payout offer.

What's next steps ? Try with new angle ? Or try with new banners ?

I think your payout is too low to even consider a display media strategy.

You can keep optimizing this with learning purpose or try to switch to an offer with at least 0.5$.

@mauluc - How is each banner and each placement doing here? Are there any stand-out placements generating a lot of conversions?

It'll be hard to optimise with such a small payout, but it may still be worth doing.

Definitely try a second angle. If you're getting the same results there, though, and there are no high-converting placements or banners, then I'd test another offer after that.
