that's great ,I wonder the same thing with Twitter ads, why anyone seem to talk about those?
Since YouTube video ads are powered by Google AdWords I am not sure if they would accept CPA offers on there, who knows-- anyone , any experience?
I was also wondering about Twitter ads to be honest. I can't seem to find out if they're underexploited because they are useless or because no one has tried it haha
Also, I just realized we have a videos section so if a mod could move this thread that'd be great
Hey guys, I've made a little bit of money from youtube and have thought about twitter ads as well. I've made some change off of twitter as well and this is what I think would work from my experience. Twitter people are like the people who watch CNN all day or watch. They like consistency "rather its complete bullshit or not "and they feel strongly about their opinions towards the niche of interest and want to share their opinion with their peers because it is in one way or another a part of their identity. If someone is going to click on a twitter ad chances are its because it has to do with what is trending or has a buzz about a taboo subject or controversy. Look at the biggest names out there on twitter and youtube. They are passionate about what they do and people see them as an authority. They trust retweeting "quoting" or following their advice because they have heard informative or entertaining things from their channel that they didnt hear anywhere else and its whats the social butterflies and trend copiers and diehard fans get their next conversation piece to debate or agree upon. People like us who see what drives the world with compounding leverages Which is why social media is where most people get their news now. If you think about people who have built a following that is cult like it usually has to do with some leisure entertainment that you become loyal to or self esteem building hobbie that has a story behind it and grabs attention and is somewhat seasoned but proves to be consistent. BRANDING that has evolved into that tribal loyalty. Think about Twilight, Team Jacob or Team Edward. Nsync or Backstreetboys Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. Tupac and Biggie Democrat or Republican. Trick or Treat Truth or Dare, Good and Evil positive and negative. All of these are controversial and people cant help but pick one or the other because they can relate to the chosen morally and want to be more like or because they want to see the other fall because they cant wait to see what they have coming to them because they are gonna receive a blow thats gonna shatter their false ego and humble them. Duality and choice with a bit of controversy and envy is what grabs peoples attention. Nobody ever wants to miss seeing a mayweather fight because it might be the one where he gets knocked out and he knows hes talented so his skill gives his ego compound interest (making him an asshole or Kanye West or Kobe Bryant) and whoever he is fighting not as bad as him maybe even a better person because they aren't vain or conceited. Or the underdog nerd who no one ever thought would be the one to knock out the big bully that everyone and their parents were afraid of and thought was a bad influence. So this all comes down to putting two things that are either close in skill or character weight class to where there is going to be a good battle or they are so unmatched that the one that everyone thinks is going to win because they are to big to fail gets blown away by the unexpected. A good twist to a battle of duality is the story that everyone remembers as an inspiration to be better and have hope or anticipate the day the ego balloon headed champ gets deflated and brought back to reality from their errogence. But a duality is just chaos without a good reason or history which creates a purpose for people to go on in life inspired to take an honorable chance against all odds or not make that same mistake that comes to those that think they have it all together but finally see that they burnt that bridge that they thought they would never have to cross again. Playing on facts versus beliefs is what makes a good story when it really ends up being a 50/50 chance and both have qualities that cant be denied or understand how possible? Thats why we all love to always expect the unexpected and to be in routine and in practice but not so much that we cant change direction and correct an area where we arent perfect, but be able to say I told you so.
Wow deep thinking there, a lot of self reflection on life experiences and really the reason why I'm here. There is no I in team because the team works together, but there is in tribe because that where you came from and thats who you identify yourself with. So the people who look to twitter as a source of information or entertainment who look forward to those weekly posts or episodes consistently are your people who you want to target. So create or adopt a brand that people can self identify or consider influencing their opinion or choice and create a controversy that either way ends up leading to the same place just a different path and not what people expect but understand.
