A bit confused about Landing Pages setup

Hi all,

I've already setup a VPS with LiquidWeb and I'm ready to host my LPs, but have a few questions.

I know what LPs are for and the importance of them, but I'm still a bit confused. Can I buy one domain name and host all my LPs on that domain or do I need to buy a domain name specific to the vertical that I am trying to promote? I think I know this answer, but it's not very clear to me. I have tracking setup with Voluum and have tested LPs (not with Live money), but the user experience doesn't feel right when I'm taken to a LP on a domain name that is unrelated to the offer.

So let's say I have an adult offer and a game offer, should I host the landers on the same domain? Does that even makes sense? In my mind it doesn't. Does the visitor even care about where the LP lives?

Any information will be much appreciated. If someone can point me to posts related to LPs that would be great too.

Hey jorgito,

Good question. You’ve pretty much answered it yourself too

The answer is yes, it’s entirely possible to host all of your landing pages on one domain. I used to host my tracker on my domain e.g. www.mydomain.com, and then my landing pages would also be on the same domain e.g. www.mydomain.com/landingpages/camaign1.html

However, as you said it can be off-putting for users being sent to an unrelated domain, and this can actually have an effect on your conversion rate.

So yep, now I have domains for each vertical which I host the LPs on. E.g. adult dating may be something like localhookups.com, app installs may be something like androidtools4u.com etc etc
