Mobile Marketing Skype Mastermind Group for Newbies (17)

Mobile mastermind group. For newbies

G'day everybody ,

Let's start a Skype based Mastermind Group for Newbies who are just starting to learn mobile marketing!

I've written the three points below because these points 1) Laser focus with a plan 2) Persistence 3) Mastermind group rules, are going to be critical to our individual and collective success.

1) We will be laser focused at the start of our journey. Perhaps, we can broadly work from Caurmen's Mobile Cookbooks to guide us along - these guides are awesome, practicable and in simple English.

Read them here to learn a solid process behind learning/doing mobile marketing:
The Appetiser http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...obile+cookbook
The Main Course Part 1 http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...e-%28Part-1%29
The Main Course Part 2 http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...light=cookbook
The Banquet http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ok-The-Banquet

2) We are al going to stick it out until we 'get it'. You obviously need sufficient $$ to stick it out. One ad network. One vertical.
This requires that you have a sufficient testing budget. We will stick to one advertising network (Decisive) for testing and get to know Decisive thoroughly first. Of course, we will use other ad networks to scale when we can. We will stick to one broad enough vertical so that we can all build on the successes and learn from the mistakes of one another.

3) This group is going to be firmly based on rules, because with good rules you, I, and everyone else in the group is going to make more $$.

We will be meeting regularly on Skype, and we all gotta be committed and punctual to the skype meetings. Preparation is going to be important. If we all put in the effort to help others by preparing and giving meaningful feedback, others will put in the effort to help the group. Members who are straggling and not bringing anything meaningful to the table will be cut (obviously including myself hahaha) - I think that we would all agree that it is fair that way but of course we don't want to cut anyone so let's give our all.

Mr Green's guide to a mastermind group will be helpful here: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...Mastery-Manual

If you have any other suggestions, questions, ideas or whatever, please mention it below because I have left some things out, I'm sure.

I think for the time being we will start off with a group of 5 people. So, including myself, that leaves 4 spots open. Of course this is a pretty arbitrary number, if we can find a way to manage with more people then all good.

If you want to join up, whizz up the AM learning curve and make bank sooner, comment that you want to join up below.

But, please include:
Your timezone and location, any edges/abilities you have that would help, how much time you can work on affiliate marketing per day or week and anything else you might want to add about yourself.

For me:
Location/Timezone: I'm in Medellin, Colombia (I'm from Australia) so I'm on the same timezone as the US East Coast.
Abilities: Spanish/Basic coding/Copywriting. I speak Spanish pretty well (but 2nd language) and have 24/7 access to native Spanish speakers (makes it easier to target Spanish geos). I've got an ok grasp of HTML/CSS and Ruby on Rails (in case a some coding needs to be tweaked or written). I've read a few books and resources on copywriting fundamentals so I understand pretty well the basic science behind it.
Time allocation: I'm available most days for most of the day since I don't work here where I live in Colombia - living on savings at the moment. Stacks of time to dedicate.

Also, a little bit about me: My name is Chris, I'm 19 years old, I'm an Aussie guy and just joined this forum maybe 2 days ago. But, I've been reading about a range of online marketing subjects for a couple of years now. I've been here 2 days and I've probably already spent about 8-12 hours already devouring content on this forum and signing up to affiliate and ad networks. I'm learning SO much from all the awesome people on this forum, and the amount of focus on action taking here is blowing my freaking mind. This really is where the pros come. I can't wait to get into campaign testing - now I need some affiliate networks to accept me in. Just got accepted into Decisive this morning.

I look forward to learning tons and making bank with you fine folks

Chris

In.

Adam/25 years old/Ottawa, Canada (EST)

Read a lot about the fundamentals, ready to implement. I bring my insane work ethic to the table. I'm willing to sacrifice sleep, girls, friends, whatever -- as long as I become profitable and get the hell out of this goddamn basement I'll call it even. Check my post history to get a feel for my character, focus, etc.

I work at a bank about 20hrs a week and a nightclub like once a week bringing me up to about 25hrs a week total. The rest of my time (including a bunch of my sleep time) will go into this. Lets do it.

Skype = eventuregroup
