Traffic sources that allow direct APK downloads

Hi,

I would like to test some direct APK download offers, but cant seem to find traffic sources, that allow this sort of offer.

Does anyone know any or could push me in the right direction? Do adult sources allow this?

It's getting more rare by the minute. Try popads and popcash, they might allow it. Greenpoint ads to possibly.

Smaato definitely does not allow direct APK downloads.

Don't users have to manually install those APK files for the offer to convert? Won't this lower conversion?

It's still something to test. I don't run APK installs, but last I recall this was asked, many chimed into to say that they still converted - sometimes even better than the play store because you can send people from lander > download directly, vs lander > Google store > choice to install.

The question is which has a lower conversion rate - people following through with an install when they get to the play store, or people following through with the APK after downloading. At least in the latter they have already committed to the download action so are deeper into the conversion process.

Through mdsp, their AM told me this information, but in my experience, never run a apk campaign without a Lp.

Thanks for your suggestions guys! I was looking for sources to expand a campaign into.

Direct linking can definitely be profitable with direct downloads. Ive been running a campaign in a 2 cheap countries for the past 7 days, testing lps, banners etc. and so far direct linking out performs all my landers by 1%+ in 1 of the countries, whereas its the other way around in the other country.

I dont think green point ads exists anymore, they recently opened a new platform called "MediaHub"

actually they don't allow APK with auto download , just if you use a lander :/
and yeah apk is harder to install but there is no google play police so there are many affiliates who use very aggressive landers for those kind of offers.
