It's always better to do a little research and have data others don't for an edge, than going in blind and blowing your budget because of something silly (e.g. targeting a site with an older and richer audience and hitting them with a free electronics giveaway offer, or blowing money buying adult traffic on a site that's full of young, broke people..., or targeting a site with lots of dead impressions because you can't tell they're all repeat visitors).

-Affinity / Interest
