FB Ads Disapproved - Now High Click Costs

Hi,

FB have disapproved my current ads for age/gender specific ad text. They also for some reason un approved the ads which have expired in old ad sets.

I've changed the ad text to make it more compliant, the CTR is about the same but clicks to website costs have doubled. Now being charged close to 1.40 per website click, do they penalize or put a mark against the domain / landing page?

would I be better of with a fresh domain?

The reason your ad costs have doubled is because your account's QS has lowered. When you get an ad disapproved your QS gets damaged automatically. They don't really flag your domain unless you've ran some serious amount of traffic and got banned for running BH... $1.4 per click is INSANE. Try to run multiple duplicate ads within 1 ad set. (At least 3 ads)

You're better off with ads with high CTR, just give it some time to get your QS back on top.

haha $1.40 would be great at this stage, this was an incredible £1.40. I was actually running 3 duplicate ads within the adset, click through rates range from 0.6% to 0.95% on mobile newsfeed.

so any trick to increase the account QS my queen?
our creatives QS is always drop from 10 to 6 in 2-3 days, once we create a new adset with the same fanpage/creative, the QS is instantly 10

QS and Relevance Score is two different things... Relevance shows how much your ad is liked, while QS gives your account an overall rate. You can't see your QS, it's not public, you can only assume by ex. the amount you pay for the traffic.

Try to run ads that are generating high CTR and ppl engage with. No secret sauce for this, just run ads fb users like.

Hi fbqueen,

in your opinion is it worth running charity ads or other ads which don't actually make money to try and improve the overall account QS?

jasont, don't waste your money on ads that are not relevant to your niche/offer. Instead, build up a page where you give quality content and boost a few of your posts. Be consistent on what you're doing.
