Is one niche harder to crack than another?

Hey,

I see some people making really good cash with the most simple ideas/landers/angels and not even putting in the hard "mind" work.
Don't get me wrong, those guys do work hard, but on a complete other level.

For instance, the antivirus offers.
You don't need to know a lot about this niche to bring in some serious money, at leat in the early days.

But when working in adult, and earning over 6 or 7 figures per year, you really need to understand the subject inside out, come up with
new angles/spins all the time.

Is it safe to assume that certain niches are way more easy to make money in than others?

Just a quick response to your adult theory... Adult isn't only about having new angles / landers / creatives and shit consistently fresh. Especially in an evergreen niche like adult with TONS of high $ competition and shitloads of volume, it's often about the backend which makes or breaks a campaign.

Example: 2 affiliates running the same offer. Both have not reinvented the wheel and running similar landers. Affiliate A is fresh on the offer while Affiliate B is running this offer for months, has an increase cap and a payout which increased from $5 to $6. While Affiliate A will struggle on the same bid as Affiliate B to breakeven, affiliate B still has the 20% higher payout. Aff A running breakeven, Aff B can outbid him and still run on 15%.

That's a bit simple and there's obviously more involved, but I think you get the idea. Especially in adult, it's about having an edge on the competitors on the backend. New angles won't last long, it's like instant rip often enough. What cannot be ripped are relations to both, advertisers and publishers, flat buy deals, increased payouts etc....
