Alright guys, the title says it all
I have been doing app installs on pops for the most part since I started back in August 2014, even though i haven't lost any money I have had little successes here are there, but nothing huge.
So after reading Kepe95's thread for the 3rd time in a row I decided to start my own follow along.
in this case I have chosen an offer that I have already had success with - Win Iphone 6 - Email submit - AU, i ran that on Facebook for 3 days and made some easy handsfree little money on it, so I know the offer converts, cause I had 40 % CR on the network from my own stats
Now, I have been trying Leadgen and pin submits this month without much success, because I decided it was time to focus on display traffic, and chose that vertical because offers seem to be more "stable" than app installs where they come and go everyday with lots of regulations, and as achieved by Kepe I want to run CLEAN -i had run misleading before and I definitely don't enjoy the whole stress that comes with it, plus it's not sustainable in the long term, with that being said, here's my first campaign
I have chosen Go2mobi for it, didn't want to do the same as everybody jumping on Decisive
I have already submitted my campaign, and it was disapproved, I contacted support and asked them to let me know what I did wrong since I was trying to follow their Guidelines and it turned out they don't accept countdown timers on landers, which I then deleted and relaunched - I am now waiting for approval.
I'm following the mobile cookbook as a guide , thou not exactly the same, for example go2mobi minimums budget/day is $ 20 but it's def a good guide to follow
and I am mapping out my process like this and using

let me get some initial data so we can get the party started, i'll keep you posted
peace out!
Guillermo
haha
Good luck!! I'm sure you'll smash it soon.
Have heard good things about sweepstakes during STM London, and the traffic source has been mentioned positively a couple times as well.
Allright the first day of data is already there, and it does not look promising at all... let's break it down
Angle 1 ( 1 conversion )
Angle 1- WIFI-INAPP
Spend: 14.98
Revenue: 2, 54
ROI: -83.04 %

Angle 1-WIFI-ONSITE
Spend: 6,75
Revenue: 0
ROI: - 100 %

Angle 1-MOBILE-ONSITE
Spend: 10.26
Revenue: 0
ROI: -100

Angle 1-MOBILE-INAPP - STOPPED
Spend:26,62
Revenue:0
ROI:-100

So, what's Angle 1?

Landing Page: http://survey-info.org/AU/WiniPhone/...es2/?isp={isp}
I made it fully compliant I had to change words like, claim your prize, or you might have an unclaimed prize, Go2mobi is kind of strict with it... I had to delete the countdown I had on it aswell I ran this offer on Facebook before and it converted, so it's not about the offer.
My lander CTR seems to go from 25 % down to 10 %, i still don't have enough data to tell i think
So what to do here guys? definitely display is another game different than pops - so far I stopped this one : Angle 1-MOBILE-INAPP since it spend 26 $ and not a single conversion
Important note: I made sure that a single placement doesn't eat the whole budget, since I am allowing it to spend 2x times payout/daily maximum per placement, to test broadly.
I am using the autobidder option which I think is kind of a SmartCPM, right - as far as I understand from the mobile cookbook, my cpm shouldn't be higher than 1.5xPayout - so anything over 3.80 might be too expensive. is that correct?
what would you do with this angle? - Cut it and forget it?

Angle 2 (2 Conversions)
Angle 2-MOBILE-INAPP (STOPPED) -- CPM too high?
Spend: 24,94
Revenue: 2,54
ROI: - 89.82 %

Angle 2-WIFI-ONSITE
Spend: 7.19
Revenue:2.54
ROI: -64 %

Angle 2-WIFI-INAPP
Spend: 16.71
Revenue:0
ROI: -100

Angle 2-MOBILE-ONSITE
Spend: 7.25
Revenue: 0
ROI: -100

so What's Angle 2?

Questions
Hey man, just checked your landers and banners.
What I noticed is that the landers are pretty good ( compared to what's working ). However the banners look too "professional" .
Try going for ugly high CTR banners and see how it goes.
Also it's fully possible to make it profitable running complaint.
Try to gather as much data as you can without bleeding too much and move from there.
thanks for the answer bbrock32 - wow, Im actually surprised the banners looked good to you, I have never made banners before, I thought they sucked the way they looked,
I'll try uglier banners
thanks
Lander look solid - however make it SIMPLER.
Where are you hosting your landings?
Hey man
I would definitely agree with making it simpler.
-Don't make the person taking your quiz have to think. (Less options is better, maxim you should have is 3 options)
-If you could make your questions a Yes or No it would be better(especially if you get them saying Yes)
Here are a few examples
1)Are there more than 3 triangles in this picture? Yes or No (make sure the picture you show has a lot more than 3 triangles and its a no brainer)
2)Are you on a mobile phone? Yes or No
3)Do you own a {brand} product ? Yes or No (brand will be replaced with device brand ie Samsung/Apple/Nokia)
The answer to all these question will most likely be yes yes yes. Getting three yes responses will sublimely get them more and more comfortable with saying yes to you and hopefully more comfortable saying yes to your offer.
You want to get them to the end of your quiz as fast as possible try maybe even just doing 1-3 questions.
Also make your quiz alot easier for the user by giving them less to read as well
Your question :
You and some friends decide to go out and have some fun, you would most likely go:
Short Version:
Your favour place to have fun:
Also take out the whole "If You Fail: You get nothing" you gotta keep them positive and eagar to win. You ever see lottery ads tell you if you lose your ass goes back to work? No, they just tell you what would happen if you win and get you dreaming about how amazing your life would be if you won.
I would probably try to explain rules in an alert box saying they have 30 seconds to answer 3 questions for the chance to win an iphone and maybe start a timer as soon as they hit okay. This will fire them up and get them over to the offer faster.
There is lots you can improve and test still. I am glad your using a proven lander just play around with it and have fun.
