Wondering about BUILDING UP OWN OFFER.

Hi Guys!

I am thinking about building up skin trial offer (USA) based on subscriptions. Does anyone had any luck on own offers?

Wondering how hard would it be for me to start up my own rebill offer?

Would be great if anyone could share some thoughts, experiences. Thank you

It isn't that tough to be honest. We have a few low level marketers coming to us with offers and they do well. It's totally down to approach and networking.

I spent about 8k before pulling the plug.

Getting everything up and running is easy but fighting chargebacks is a pain and stressful as hell and not knowing if people will drop out of the trial is annoying to deal with. The 14 day delay before getting your full payment will mess with your stats. You could blow 10k on advertising and not know how much your making back until the 14 days have past and your not out the woods yet because most of the ones that stay will complain and chargeback.

You won't necessarily make double your money by running your own offer. I found about 30-50% of the customers I got either asked for a refund when the full payment was due or opted out before . I personally make more money as an affiliate and I don't need to worry about anything.... its worked alot better for me.

Making your own offer can be great, but it does very much depend on vertical.

Why not start with more of a middle ground by building a mailing list, but pushing external offers to the list? You can always transition to pushing your own offers that way later, and it lets you build up a solid asset.

mont7071 on wickedfire made some very good posts about this.
Trial offers is a bitch unless you can float a lot of cash.
I would start with CPS first and once you done a lot of testing and know how it works you can move on to trials.

What shopping cart/CRM did you use? It seems like most advertisers in that space use Limelight, but from what I hear they have a pretty hefty up-front price tag.

I used ultra cart. It did everything I needed for a fraction of the price that Limelight cost. The only con is I spent alot of time learning how to use it and had to reading the API documentation alot. There was bit of coding involved on my end, but I am developer and I didn't mind it I actually enjoyed it lol.

They have a 30day trial. I would recommend using it to find out if you can get up and running and it fullfills your needs.
