My post-secondary education was in an entrepreneurship program so the entrepreneur in me is trying to think of other ways to monetize the skills that I'm going to pickup and perfect in the future after years of reading, hard work and sacrifice.
So, I wanted to ask what services/income generating ways any of you leverage your IM/AM skills?
Is there a decent potential for consultant type work?
I read a thread about a guy who talked about going into failing or just decent income local SMEs and said "ok, so, I'm going to do all of your marketing and slam this place, then I'm going to take an equity of the business" -- I thought that was pretty damn smart. Not sure if the market for that is really there but I think if you're good enough socially, in person sales and know business, it could work.
Just wanted to see what the diehard entrepreneurs are doing to expand their income sources while they work up to making xx,xxx a day
Thought it could get a bunch of us brainstorming.
Or, maybe I'm naive and I should really just focus more on tweaking my landing pages, etc -- I'm new so I don't know
There is no shortage of channels to apply your skills! If you were at the London STM meetup last week, you would have seen affiliate marketers who have used their skills to buy and run a luxury hotel, to create the #1 game on the Apple App store in 20 countries, and helping an artist sell work around the world!
